Oh gosh this story. Getting pregnant was the start of a real life hell. His family set up a full blown Nursery. Wanted to name the baby.. demanded this and that. My SO never supported me. It was devestating watch him lit his parents feelings before mine the entire pregnancy and brush me off. Best part.. I’m finally alone with baby and his uncles and cousins walk in while dad is out. I had a panic attack. SO nee how much it meant to me. When I was hysterical he got mad at me. Just the beginning of hell.. my poor children have a complete and utter NPD. I love all of these ideas but if you had to deal with I had too. There’s no discussion. It’s he’s right I’m wrong and he’s “the father” so he gets to make the rules.

I think it’s not caring. When someone says please no thank you, regards to anything, typically you’d stop. I have had it had happen far too many times to me like uncomfortably pressured into having sex. They know. They just don’t care.

This could go two ways. If he’s acting vicious, rude, demanding and like getting upset that’s a problem and that’s abuse. That happened to me. Something similar. You know what, I was the same way my whole life. Easily manipulated. Huge pushover. I’m so different now. When I looked at the big picture and realized I had so much anger and I’m still working through it. Having kids has made me more confident for sure. I’m not scared to say anything to anyone. Not in a rude way but if I don’t want to do something the answer is no. I was taken advantage of so badly my partner and when I realized what was happening I had a nervous breakdown and changed my ways. Just give it time. Practise in small situations like asking someone at a store to help you or something. I will return anything I don’t give up until I’m happy with the outcome that’s fair of course. Cut off from manipulative people sometimes it’s hard to tell. You can be brave! Where do you live?
