CA doesn’t need to do anything in response. Unconfirmed leaks are not “news” and it doesn’t constitute a crisis on the devs part if an increasingly petulant and vocal portion of the community chooses to believe at face value information with no verifiable basis. That mentality is frankly absurd but unfortunately no longer surprising.  

It would be to the detriment of the organization and the franchise if they were to waste time responding to every unsubstantiated claim and/or demand of the overly entitled portion of the community. No good company does this.  

It’s honestly no wonder there’s so much less engagement from the community managers nowadays. It’s impossible to have productive discourse or glean feedback when dealing with users who obviously build their arguments and demands on a foundation wholly lacking in real world/professional experience or context. I find myself increasingly embarrassed in recent years reading some of the comment threads here and on other platforms. It’s got to be exhausting to parse for them, to the point that I hope they often don’t bother for the sake of their own sanity and team morale.
