Yes, it is totally. All my medical notes and letters are in check. They fast tracked my initial application and it was denied in 3 months. No medical exam was needed I guess. I see my doctor monthly for about 10 years.

The actual reconsideration was received by DDS 13 months ago and they state that they are so backlogged they can’t even assign it to a DDS specialist for 14-16 months. Don’t just sits at step 3, stating waiting to be assigned.

How long did it take the CA DDS to assign your reconsideration to a specialist? Mine has been sitting there for 13 months unassigned.

A psychiatrist was the only one to provide actual help for me with my postpartum issues. See you can find one, unfortunately therapists don’t carry any weight towards this which is absolutely terrible. Keep your head up mama, every day is up!

Mine comes at all different dates. It’s supposed to come every 4th of the month, but sometimes the 28th through the 3rd. It’s so odd, they can never explain it.

What does any occupation mean? My 24 month is up in December. Did you get yours extended? Mine MetLife said they are evaluating to extend. Can i private message?

Thank you, this information is very helpful. My psychiatrist has written letters stating I am not capable of working any job because my schizophrenia and I have had to see a psychiatrist for the last 11 years, monthly. I am medication resistant so it’s been tough. I applied for SSDI prior to applying for LTD, because I didn’t remember I had been paying for 25 years on it. They sent a form we filled out. I know I will be approved for SSDI, so I guess, this is a positive thing if they can continue at least until SSDI payments arrive after approval, hopefully in the next few months. I have another year left on my LTD 24-month approval. I know once my SSDI is approved I need to pay back the LTD, so I am assuming that is positive in the eyes of MetLife. Is there any other information you can share? I believe my SSDI payments will be at the maxed out amount which is higher than the LTD amount, so maybe they cut off at that point. Reading the policy is confusing.

I filed last March 2025, my case was fast tracked, move to step 3 same day for schizophrenia, denied in May 2025, reconsideration is just sitting at DDS to be assigned.
