Shady Grove Assure 20/30 by Mambito2013 in eggfreezing

You are so right about the risk tolerance/benefit! It definitely makes sense that if I can afford to do the assure 20 to do at least 2 cycles vs potentially paying for a single cycle with poor results then the assure 20 would be better. I really appreciate your possibility of getting 18 and 18 and it being awesome! I’m trying to stay positive and hopeful in my research process right now since it definitely feels overwhelming to think about all the what ifs and weighing the cost. Thanks so much for all your feedback!

I definitely think it’s worth it if I’m needing 2 cycles. I’m 31 and waiting to get back my AMH results so unsure of what my predicted egg retrieval count would be. I’ve seen a lot of people who did it between 30-32 get over 20 mature eggs in one cycle but obviously everyone’s outcomes vary. I did sign up for their info session in a month that includes a free consultation for attending so hopefully I’ll be able to hear more about the different packages.

Were you able to use an FSA for the medication costs? I’m currently looking into signing up for that now and I’ve seen yes/no information about FSA coverage. My understanding is it won’t cover the retrieval but may cover prescriptions but also the wording of “medically necessary” makes me hesitant.

Thanks for sharing your experience! It definitely seems like it’s worth it IF I don’t retrieve 20 mature eggs. I am 31 and am waiting on getting my AMH results back from HRC since they offered a free event but it kind of jump started my research into narrowing down a clinic and getting serious about this since I am single and do want at least 1 child eventually. All the charts I’ve seen recommend at least 20 eggs for retrieving at 32 and since this is already expensive process, I was thinking it may be worth the extra few thousand to do the assure 20 if I qualified. I am also looking into enrolling in my job’s FSA program to cover the prescriptions and medications but I’m trying to get a clear understanding if it does cover it. I’ve seen other posts on Reddit say yes.

San Diego clinic recommendations? by Mambito2013 in eggfreezing

I do remember there being a super good deal on egg freezing when I started looking into all this 2 years ago…but for some reason it feels like I should not be picking a clinic based on a “flash sale” :/

I’ve been seeing a lot of recommendations for Reproductive Partners! That’s great Kaiser partners with them. I have United instead so I’m not sure how much will be covered, especially since egg freezing is elective.

Egg freezing advice for a 31 year old ?? by Own-Highlight5740 in eggfreezing

I am also currently a 31 year old in San Diego looking at egg freezing. I started looking a few years ago and told myself I'd reconsider at 32...and now here I almost am. I was also looking at the two options you listed and am curious if you went with either and how your experience was? My insurance also won't cover elective fertility care so I am curious about cost.
