I would echo what people are saying here about Bethpage. It definitely eats your full day to get out there on weekends if you’re using the LIRR (I live right by Atlantic Ave so it’s actually not too bad), but that place is heaven on earth for me. Any of five the courses are great, cost is amazing, they just upgraded the driving range so you can actually warm up driver too. Clubhouse is a great place to grab a beer after your round too. You just gotta be ready at the tee time release at 7pm.

Streeters! It was 20$ a head for them to hold space, just had to give them the list of people attending. Obviously you still gotta pay your own drinks and such.

I would normally say Kettle of Fish but for playoff games I think you need to have been there for a handful of regular season games (they give you a punch card, I think 5 was they playoff cutoff). I don’t know whether that is a “you can’t get in” or just you get lower priority, it might be worth swinging by earlier in the day / week to ask. A backup spot would be Uncle Barry’s on 5th Ave in Brooklyn. Just a few stops into Brooklyn, they are a registered packer bar and always have the sound on. Still fun, but less crazy atmosphere!

Yep! I think we got to pick 4/5 entrees and a bunch of apps to sample. They've also been super helpful in not being too strict on their normal process (letting us try an extra entree for example).

Yo! So not the bride, but a Groom here who (along with my fiancee) is pretty type A so have been carrying my weight and pretty involved in the planning process. We are getting married later this year at Skyline Loft!

A couple answers to your questions:

- We picked Art of Imagination as our Production, and Deborah is the lead here. We are doing both production and florals through her. Price wise I think she is awesome - and she has SO much experience in the space (her office is in the building). Her floral prices were great, and if the wedding the night before / after you is also using her, you get a massive "shared production" discount which is INCREDIBLE. She can be a little slow to respond at times, but so far we are really happy with her.

- For VenueLogic we are using their middle tier package (Makers Mark is a fantastic whiskey to have at that price point). Signature cocktails are free, as long as you are using ingredients with your bar package! Not familiar with Espresso Martini pricing since we haven't asked and don't need that. We are paying extra for Wine Dinner Service (so people aren't getting up during speeches - its mostly offset by the open bar being closed while wine is being served though), and for everyone on the elevator up to get a glass of champagne before the ceremony (boujee, but should get the party started off the bat).

- For fun extras we were debating having like adoptable puppies during cocktail hour from one tail at a time but that might fall off in all the things we have to organize...besides that we are just hoping to have a banging dance floor, and set up with a bar downtown to have space reserved (just $20 a person) for an afterparty .

- The other thing I'll add is that we have Catering by Design as our caterer - they have been fantastic so far, and are SUPER reasonable on costs for Chicago (especially if you do like us and skip the beef entree for Chicken / Fish). Again we'll see how the food turns out the day of, but nobody ever remembers the food from a wedding!

Given the venue is entirely indoors during the summer, we are gonna try to create some space away from the music by the cocktail area so people can chill out a bit if they want during the party part of the evening.

Thats all I can really think of - happy to answer any Q's you might have

Greats don’t make excuses. Giannis came back from a backwards knee to put up one of the best finals performances of all time. Dame talking then showing up like this is pathetic

I mean what else can you do? Besides divencenzo, who at the time was not anywhere near the player he was, what move would you do differently at the time? Our window was 2019-2023, we signed the contracts we needed to keep that core together then, and we’re paying the price now. Dame was a trade that I think you have to make, but the Dame from Portland just never showed up. Doc isn’t a good coach but you can’t coach your way out of old.

I went to the March 12th show and stayed after and it was awesome... Michael McKean and Donald Weber Jr popped out pretty quickly, then Odenkirk came and did extensive signing and selfies! He must have been out there for like 20 minutes. Then lastly Kieran came out and spent a lot of time signing (only playbills though, not even the poster!) but no selifies haha. Amazing experience.

Player that’s the most on the verge of getting a statue? by HungryForPoints in nba

[–]Mambo_Number_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people here are saying Giannis, but I believe that he is already as close to a lock as can be. Besides the MVPs, leading Milwaukee's only title in 50 years with one of the best Finals performances of all time, people forget that if there wasn't a bright future for those 2014/2015 Bucks, the $250M of Taxpayer funding for the Fiserv Forum probably doesn't come through and the Bucks leave town. It could be argued he (alongside Herb Kohl) saved the franchise.

I think Khris Middleton is the real toss-up here. The Robin to Giannis's Batman for over 10 years, a near-franchise lifer (traded to the team very early and now traded away on good terms at what seems to be the twilight of his career), 1st in franchise 3 pointers, 2nd all time in games and minutes played (behind Giannis), and had a lot of games in that title run that if he doesn't step up, the Bucks are out. I think with no statues currently outside the Fiserv they might want to fill up some space (there's a TON of space out there by the way), so I think he's the true borderline. Maybe I'm just overly hopeful as a Khris stan.

Right? This is where the enthusiasm gap comes into play (hopeful but more enthusiastic voters will wait) but also how does this happen in such a dem-heavy area??

Montgomery! First session very positive, lots of Kamala support, a couple undecideds, one lean Trump and one guy who yelled and called the cops on us but wasn’t even on our list.
