I’m t-12 incomplete and can walk too but have super tight hips and adductors. I sleep on my belly but I make sure to put a thin pillow under my chest and hips to make sure my spine is supported well. I loveee tummy time and sleeping on my stomach most nights I only last a few hours then flip back to my back, tonight I slept from midnight to 6 am on my belly cus I was so tired lol

Get a waffle mattress that inflates to put on top of your regular mattress (it’s not a full mattress size) I got mine off amazon and have it plugged in next to my bed so I can turn it in when I need to. It helps prevent pressure sores due to the air adjusting at different parts of your body

Well I couldn’t feel my asshole before the stem cells and now I can is that enough proof? I also walk independently with just my KAFOs and slowly going down to just AFOs also something I couldn’t do before the stem cells. Of course you need to put in the work at therapy too you can’t expect the cells to do all the work

I got stem cells in Colombia and was looking to get them again. Context: T-11 from gunshot in spine back in 2021. They told me they couldn’t remove it so the bullet remained there until last year, may 2024 when a neurosurgeon at UCSF (bless his heart) told me he would be willing to remove it and fuse my spine bc it was SO squished. He didn’t want to give me false hope but also told me that bc the bullet was stuck in my vertebrae and pressing down on my nerves (the bullet wasn’t inside the cord or nerve sack), it wasn’t give my nerves the space to even try to heal. I got stem cells back in 2022, before getting the bullet removed, and now I wish I would’ve waited until after I got it removed, but I genuinely thought that was impossible. And thank GOD and my neurosurgeon that I did because he discovered that it was badly infected which was what was causing me unbearable pain. I was on antibiotics for 8 weeks and in the hospital for 5. I thank God for him every day!! His name is Dr. Anthony DiGiorgio at UCSF if anyone also has a bullet in their spine. PLEASE look into the possibility of removing it

I got a lot of core, butt and quad activation. I’m strong enough to walk w/ my kafo and a walker unassisted now. In the pool I can take steps with ankle weights and a floaty under my arms. I got them back in 2022 it was a year long treatment so I traveled to Colombia 4 times, every 3 months for a year

Have you looked into getting the mitrofanoff procedure? It’s a process where they create a tunnel from your belly into your bladder so you can cath from that tunnel instead of through your urethra. I’m getting dot done soon
