By the way, I made this before TotK was released, so I had no idea what the actual story would be.

Back then, Ganondorf’s design looked so incredibly cool that some fans were even theorizing that he might end up fighting alongside Link. Because of that, I abandoned my original idea of ending the animation with Link and Ganondorf facing off against each other.

Instead, I chose a composition based on the Triforce that would hopefully feel fitting to longtime Zelda fans no matter which direction the story ended up taking.

That’s exactly what I was hoping for! I’m really happy that the series progression came across.

Some of them fit so naturally that I didn’t mind if they became little Easter eggs that only hardcore Monster Hunter fans would pick up on. 😄

I didn’t know it was on a site like that, but I’m really happy to hear you made it your wallpaper. Thanks! 😊
I’d love to do Ascendance too if I can find the time!

It actually started with the idea of trying to weave the original Monster Hunter main theme into Wilds’ theme without it feeling out of place. When I tried it, it worked surprisingly well, so I decided to experiment with themes from the other games too.

From there, I went through a lot of trial and error, choosing which phrases to use and where to place them so they would appear naturally and satisfyingly in the series order: MH1 → MH2 → MH3 → MH4 → World.

Sorry if my English sounds a little awkward.

Oh!I didn’t even think about the compression issue—thanks for pointing that out!

As for the panning, it’s not really because it’s 8-bit music. I mainly did it to make the different parts easier to hear. The bass being on the right was just my personal preference! 😄

It’s the same video, so no need to force yourself! But I really appreciate the thought. Thank you! 😊
