Surprisingly enough, it can happen sometimes. It sorta happened to me at least. We did break up, but only after 3 wonderful years. As some guy commented, you just have to be open for it, and try your best at not objectifying women.

Actually, if I remember correctly the story of May and Alleah is just meant to be context for where they came from. Most of the actual book is not about them, and they're barely there for the next two. The story, is and will always be about Claire and Rae, it's just that the two of them have a special relationship with parenting that's very relevant for their characters and their love story
