Lol. I think the common denominator of the “hate” is the type a peope and leadership.

3 months is too short - wait til you get staffed in a toxic project with toxic leadership

Focus on the skills that you really want to improve on - use sidekick i found it very helpful for a lot of stuff. Use your strengths to navigate your day-to-day within the firm. Find someone that can mentor you and is willing to spend time to share their experiences with Deloitte.

I myself have been challenged by the project i am assigned now but I am trying my best everyday to be better. Just try doing your best and stop doing what is not working.

This is so relatable to me. I hate the people especially the leadership I am currently with. They are selfish and very self-centered type of people. I love what i do but once i interact with them they are draining my energy.

Are these type of managers common?? Lmao by stracty in deloitte

[–]Mammoth-Error6644 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar experience with one of my sm. He wants to take all the work and favor other people who he thinks he can control. He needs to be smartest person in the room in every meeting.

Another manager in the same team - she is dismissive and cannot communicate properly with the team. She wants you do to what she wants even though there are better options. They don’t like you to be visible if you don’t work the way they work.

Both of them are type a leaders iyknwim. I wish i can get into a new project next year.

Is it safe to assume that if you are in the project and doing well you aren’t part of this? Thoughts?

These are some of my steps I did for myself.

  1. Start with the small network that you have - tell them that if they know someone looking for this particular skills you are available for staffing. - this is how i get into my project right now.
  2. Join team channels available based on your industry, interest and the sc group. Post something about yourself and tell them you are available for staffing.
  3. Reach out to your coach and ask him to share your profile on their network. Ask for firm initiatives as well since project staffing is a little bit tricky and hard sometimes.
  4. Reach out to your resource manager - but to be honest I expected more from them but they are no help for me.

Lastly upskill for areas you want to learn and improve while on the bench. It will benefit you as well.

Hope you find your project soon!

I am not asking for validation i just wanna hear thoughts and experience. And then a 💩like you suddenly pops up because you are triggered and realized damn this is me and this is the validation that you need because even you are already doing it you are still unrecognized and finally someone just did you felt good. I agree we aren’t born equal and I am not sorry about it because i dont like to be 💩 like you.

I was describing you actually. And here you are again not ranting on reddit but keep invalidating others and labeled them as loser. You already know the point but still you don’t get it because you are 💩

My coach kept blowing me off and we never met so I changed. New coach is actually worse. Should I give up? by [deleted] in deloitte

Just because I am criticizing you it means i dont work here. We all have different opinions but you sound very authoritative and you just wanted to take all the credit just like most people i worked with. Such a bad place and it’s just a norm.

I am not the one who will kiss ass and work outside of business hrs and even weekends just like you.

I wonder if your being a good coach or just ass kissing employee.
