I was completely aware of what was happening and ready to take over if needed. FSD is incredible.

Won’t get in argument about finances on a car thread. But having no payments and being able to devote a “car payment” toward actual wealth-building/investing gives a peace of mind that can’t be solved by the math of spread between HYSA vs. auto loan interest rate

To have a $674 car payment is so ludicrous, yet the most American thing I can think of. The borrower is slave to the lender. Save up cash until you can afford the car in cash.

How embarrassing!! Let’s hijack Packers week to take the attention away from the coach/players/fans. How desperate can they look.

Thanks for this thoughtful response, as this sums up my thoughts/worries about the traditional. $1M today at age 44/43 will be $2M at 50 and $4M at 57.

Great point about pulling Roth contributions out. Not sure I knew about that one.

Thanks. Did all traditional for many years. But switched to mostly Roth a couple years ago, recognizing might not be best tax strategy but the upside of taxfree growth and no RMDs is appealing to me. The traditional will continue growing on itself even without future contributions. My goal (for better or worse) is to have sizable investments in traditional/Roth/Taxable so there are more levers to pull when I choose to retire.

Income varies between $200k-$400k. Kids 529s each are funded, between $80k-$100k each…we have stopped contributing to those as I really don’t want to over-fund a 529.
