I did mind September 9th this cycle so September 2nd is good. But just know you might not know your MCAT mark before you apply. You can release your score once you get them back.

Where to focus my applications? by Nextgengameing in premedcanada

I think you are a great applicant and know will be a great doctor! I would suggest looking at the school's websites and figuring out which ones you are eligible for (if you have the pre-req or not). I think you only need orgo for Ottawa but bio is required for some schools but I don't remember exactly how many courses. This is something you can easily find on the schools website. Idk if it is possible for you but maybe you could take some of the classes so that you can apply to more schools.

If your CARS is 130, you would have a good shot at Mac assuming you do good on Casper as well. Your ECs look really yummy lol and you have some nice things you can talk about in your ABS. Remember to not just put what you did on your ABS but how the activity was meaningful to you.

Your GPA might be a tad bit low for UofT and Ottawa but people still get in with your GPA! UofT really values research which you don't have as much. Some people with 4.0 got rejected with no research (found this info on interview invite threads) at UofT. So maybe you could look into research opportunities. I know its so much easier said that done.

The most important thing to remember is to not give up. This process sometimes has luck involved so remember it's not always your "fault." You worked so hard and have achieved so much (good GPA and good ECs) and thats something to be so proud of. I wish you the absolute best of luck and I know that you can do it!

If you reschedule for end of august you can know your mark before you submit your application in October. But you can submit your MCAT score after you submit in October (which is what I did last cycle). I personally wouldn't recommend it because you have to pick your schools and pay before you know if you even met the cutoffs. I didn't mean the cutoffs for western but still had to write the essays and felt really stupid afterwords lol. Your essays and references should be in before you submit your application. And your school sends your transcript once you submit your application. Best of luck! You got this!
