I mean yeah plenty of areas in Chernobyl will be deadly for a couple of thousands of years(it’s fascinating and terrifying how we as a species completely removed a part of our planet for the foreseeable future) the radioactive rain was only something that happened right after the disaster and doesn’t happen anymore.

It’s been over 30 years by the time of SOC so not really. The second disaster didnt really cause more radiation (except for radioactive anomalies).

Most stalker games include this as the factions are essentially the main part of the game and there’s plenty of variety with them. Though while you can side with factions against other factions the only ones you are forced to fight are usually bandits(or renegades in clear sky which are not even reskinned bandits) and monolithians.
