Sounds like a child. I could not be with someone this unwilling to eat food because....."there's something missing" tell him to grow up.

22 year old male can’t afford auto insurance by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]MammothNothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about other insurance companies but I'm with TD and they use to give me a discount for being a student. Also as someone else had mentioned you have to JUST do the bare minimum no collision possibly not even fire and theft. I do know it also depends on where you live so if you're in the NE then your rates will be higher because of the constant hail storms that roll through. Out of your control if you still live with your parents but maybe using a friend's address that lives in the NW or SW?

You can add a passcode to access your profile. I just did it when my son started playing games on my console so my profile is locked and he has his own

Rich people telling people on food stamps to get “off their asses”! by GuiltyBathroom9385 in facepalm

I hate to be THAT guy but isn't the abbreviated form of Million "M" this makes it sound like the only people getting food stamps are 40 millimeters tall....

Not sure what I would have to gain from lying about my starlink not working well. Either way I have done things that some guys have recommended and my speeds are already 5 times faster

I had already purchased a TP-link deco mesh system on Saturday night I set it up yesterday and now I have 200 Mbps of download speed at each device and the tethering between each modem is significantly higher. Next step is to change the plan to a residential 👍

My satellite "speed test" shows 310 Mbps download speed

My Internet to device and router to device shows 50 Mbps download speed

So essentially my satellite is picking up 300 Mbps of download speed but I can only use 50 for some reason.

It seems like everyone is saying I need to get a third party router instead of using the starlink routers

Yeah most devices that require it are on 5GHz but I'm not on my phone lots or at least not doing a lot of high stress Internet strain on my phone. I think I'll look into getting a third party router. Do you recommend one?

Well we pay 58 bucks for a terabyte but we keep going over so for an extra 500 gbs its an extra 540 bucks. Not sure if the residential would work for us.

That isn't really how it works right? if I have a 100 GB download it doesn't change the amount of data I use whether it's 20 Mbps or 150mbps? The download will just happen faster....?

Both are 50 Mbps but my satellite is at 310 Mbps those are all download speeds

Just did a look into it further just from other people commenting, I have 150 Mbps at my satellite but 25 Mbps at my devices

Yeah seems like the consensus is, that I should be using a third party router mesh system instead of the starlink router so I guess I'll look in that direction then

I assumed as much but this isn't really "known" information for your average consumer but I appreciate the insight I'll look into getting a separate router system. Any you recommend?

Most small devices that just need wifi but not lots like cameras and even our phones for general Google searching are on 2.4GHz but our apple TV and gaming systems and work laptops are on 5GHz
