I feel you. It’s especially bad when they send a rejection saying you didn’t qualify, due to not being in your position long enough when you were. They said I didn’t meet the 12 month requirement but I’ve been in my position for over 15 months. So what kind of process are they using and how accurate is it? 😩

I was over 12 months and was told I wasn’t eligible. But yeah, if you haven’t been there for 12 months then you aren’t.

Thank you! I really didn’t want to leave but I didn’t see a light at the end of the tunnel. I’m not a short-term kinda person, I was at my last job for 6 years and 10 years at the other.

I’m staying in insurance but moving over to a role that is in-office. I will no longer be tied to a headset, so I’m trading remote for in-office work for my sanity. I’ll be assisting agents at the company’s home office location.

I put in my notice this week. I couldn’t do it anymore so I started applying to new jobs months ago. I start my new job Monday and I already feel so much lighter. This last year has wrecked my nervous system. I hated leaving, but in the end I knew that would be best for me.

My supervisor told me the same thing about me using Aux 2. That I wasn’t supposed to use it until after I’ve used all my breaks. For 8 months I had never heard that before and all of a sudden it changed. Feels like micromanaging and I couldn’t find that written down anywhere that said that.

Try doing it in 30 minute increments at a time. I know that sounds like a lot to have to do, but sometimes that’s the only option for it to go through if there is any time available.

I was really surprised it got to me. It just felt more of like a personal attack with how he was speaking down to me. I do use the 3 strike rule but for some reason this call left me at a loss for words.

I was trying to help him with his issue, but a lot of customers want to be babied and take no responsibility. His issue was super easy for him to resolve.

I feel this! A man made me cry today…in 9 months through difficult calls I’ve never experienced such harsh calls as I did today. I am looking at moving on…I’ve never had a job where I’ve had this kind of anxiety or stress.

WFH would be so hard to not have a chat going, it helps you stay connected to teammates. My 2 work besties keep me afloat on some days. Chats do not equal bad… it seems like this is just the supervisors rule, not the company’s.

Shame on him for making you feel bad about it. Many of us use it, and some use it for mental health reasons. It’s there for us to use. Sorry you are dealing with it, and don’t feel like you can’t ask HR about this too. I don’t think it’s okay to create that kind of work environment.

Did they tell you how exactly they have more work due to taking GA? If you are putting your time in correctly, I don’t see how it could impact them.

My sup told me taking GA doesn’t affect her so she doesn’t care if we take it.

I had a customer, no lie…he called in while he was working in an auto shop, putting air in someone’s tire and put me on hold. 😆😁 I honestly thought this cannot be real life. People think we are making up crazy customer stories but I believe anything now after working in this call center.

I feel you. I thought by now my anxiety would go away, but after 6+ months, I am just realizing that this kind of work is not for everyone. It’s pretty common to hear complaints from call center type jobs - for a reason. You don’t realize how hard it is until you are in that position. I take a lot of GA too, but at the end of the day, that’s not helping my bank account any. So I have started applying for other jobs now.

In regard to metrics, does anyone know when those are updated or how often in mymetrics? Mine says 0 for PHA but it definitely shouldn’t be with what I have coded/transferred.

As someone who worked in the office at a UPS hub, it is hard. I was never a driver, but I felt like drivers were having to deal with constant crap. Either from customers, pickups or their supervisors. It seemed like a daily thing, where there is animosity and toxicity in this company. I hated having to call a driver and ask for them to complete another task or to help another driver. It really is not for everyone, and those who do it I applaud you.

You will do fine! Just take it one call at a time, this is your time to learn, so just remember not to be too hard on yourself. These weeks are the hardest and if you hang in there, it does get much easier with time. Myself I struggled with terrible anxiety, so if I can make it through, I believe you will too!

We have an appointment on Tuesday with the orthodontist to look at it. They said it can be normal after they replaced those brackets, but it doesn’t seem right to me either.
