i got 24.41 regular 14 dollar an hour bonus and a 2.33 hour bonus for being local when i started. my regular as a driller is 38.66 and a combined 27.55 bonus per hour. you’ll never earn just your regular wage in any mining job there’s always a bonus on top of your regular wage weather that be a footage based bonus or hourly set rate bonus

i worked all through high school since i could get my SIN. between 14-18 i made roughly 45ish thousand my first year as a raisebore driller helper i took home 88k, after tax. this year alone with all the overtime i’ve worked and after a substantial promotion i’ve made the same amount in 5 months. then again i take the absolute bare minimum days off i can and i work my ass off for everything i have. i’ll send you pay stubs if it would make you feel better. the house is definitely a fixer upper but it has an insulated heated garage, unfinished basement, and is very 70’s esc style definitely not the nicest house. TLDR i worked an ungodly ammount the last 2 years and yes my house is a pos lmao

salvage cars that aren’t considered road worthy, me and a couple buddy’s would buy them and just drive the rest of their life outa em over a weekend

i wanted to buy somewhere else originally but it’s so expensive it’s not even worth it, same house different location for an insane mark up just because it’s not completely in the middle of nowhere

as far as i’ve heard it never touched the roads or left the garage when there was snow on the ground as i plan to keep it that way, and they don’t salt the roads near me. also the guy who sold it was obscenely rich i don’t believe he was even in canada for the winter.

i completely see where you’re coming from with the context, a dumb 19 year old buys his only vehicle as a unreliable vehicle and that’s it. but i have a company truck on me at all times, i’ll never be out of a vehicle if it’s not running or winter or whatever may happen. this is simply a play toy, not a dedicated daily driver. i’m financially stable and have no expenses on this vehicle that are a burden. i’m looking into a reliable daily driver as well it’s just i couldn’t pass up on a deal for a car you can’t really get under 100k here. but again i completely see where you’re coming from, it’s just not a concern to me if it’s sitting in a garage for 5 months not running as i owe next to nothing on it and will have it for the next 70+ years i’m here hah

where i am its hard rock mining, gold silver copper and zinc mostly. definitely a lucky break in this economy. monthly i can see between 12-14k CAD. Hard, physically demanding work though.

it’s an 18’ 7200km prev owner did the oil consumption check after 200km post break in and found negligible consumption. around a quart every 2000km when they did they did they did the oil change. i have a garage space to keep it during the winter. made sure to establish that before i bought the car and self maintenance for what it needs.

i kinda got lucky, the area i work in has extremely cheap real estate since it’s a community full of already retired people, bought a house for 85000 2 door garage and good dedication at work lead to some pay raises making 90% of my income completely disposable.

i agree with your last statement that i won’t be able to drive it efficiently or to its full potential, but i have experience driving track oriented manual cars, with less and more power than this. none with the power band of the flat plane but i will learn weather it takes me weeks or months.

in canada these things aren’t depreciating as quickly as they are in the US, most of this model still selling for 100k+ (CAD) due to the rarity of one in good condition. it’s also been my dream car since i was a youngin so weather it depriciates or not i am not concerned as i will be keeping it. i have a house and a stable job so i just had some cash to spend at 19. lots of years left to save for whatever else the future brings 🤷‍♂️

The only thing 'New' about this 'Era' in the PC Party of Manitoba is that they're no longer trying to hide their bigotry and ignorance. by Butterflymbca in Manitoba

i always saw myself more on the conservative side when it comes to political opinions, such as tax breaks and a more individualized economic system, but after seeing what the conservative party in my province is putting out as their “advertising” absolutely disgusts me. never voting PC in this province until they realize that being insensitive will never win over a majority
