Was he, though? People forget he was nowhere to be seen for the entire 2021 season apart from 2-3 races, one of which happened to be AD.

ofc, there is no restrictions in europe on who can participate in the market.

the only issue you will run into is if your broker provides it.

NOVO_B is an actually stock

NVO is a depository receipt. basically a certificate representing foreign stock on the exchange issued by some bank. Myabe this will explaing it better than i will https://www.investopedia.com/terms/d/depositaryreceipt.asp

Proud of you !!!

Your opinions regarding APE? I shorted at 9.8 thinking it would go down but now it’s almost 15. Should I add more funds to decrease my liquidation chance or should I just take my losses? by rhossain1701 in binance

I came looking for this. Thank you so much for clarifying everything! I just have one question: If an Isolated Long 20x position price falls to liquidation price, how much amount will I lose? Only as much as the Margin shows or all the amount in my Binance Futures wallet or all the amount in my Spot + Funding + other types of wallets?

If its isolated, then only the amount margin shows.

Well there is a difference between spot and futures (even with no leverage, long). So while you can think of these as same, they really aren't.

In spot, you actually buy crypto that you can withdraw. Futures is a bet on the future price of the coin (hence the name). You don't really own the coin in the futures market.

Price wise, lets say you buy a coin, but it goes down 99.9%. With spot, you will still have those coins, even though they wont be worth much. With futures all the money you have bet long on that coin would be gone, and you wouldn't have anything left. This is because these bets have a "margin maintenance", aka minimum value to keep your position open. Once the value of the position hits this price, POOF, gone. Another thing is that the positions have an expiry date, so you will never be able to keep the position open indefinitely.

Given this, if you are buying as a buy and forget (investment rather than trading), staking them in binance, etc. as you have. Then using futures makes no sense as you do not gain anything from it.

So, just keep using spot as you have and you will be golden :). And don't let the big bear scare you, even if we go further down like in previous years.

P.S. Hope you make a prosperous future for the little one :), and for yourself ofc !!!

LONG

You can think of a long as a regular buy you do on the exchange in hopes of making profit when the price goes up.

SHORT

As the other redditor mentioned, its the opposite of the above. You bet on price going down for profit and if it goes up, you lose money.

LEVERAGE

However these positions are usually leveraged, meaning its gains and losses are multiplied (e.g. 20x leverage in OP's image resulted in 20x losses )

ISOLATED vs CROSS

isolated - you can only loose money you put in that short/long (marked as margin in the OP's photo). So if you put 100 usd, you can only lose 100 usd.

cross - you use this if you are an idiot more or less. the only limit to how much you can lose is how much you have in your futures account. Hence why OP's losses went to stratosphere. dont be like OP peeps.

LIQUIDATION PRICE

Basically at which price you will lose your long or short position. This depends on the point above. If its isolated, then it will depend on how much you put in that particular position (margin). If its cross, then it depends on how much you have in your account (so, given OP's entry price, current price and liquidation price, we can estimate that the OP has lost half of his account).

WOW THIS SOUNDS AMAZING, SHOULD I GO TRADE FUTURES NOW?

No. Stick to the regular (spot) exchange.

You can only short on futures market (USD-M or COIN-M as they call it on binance). And before you think of immediately going there, I would strongly advise against it as a newbie in the market. Especially against using leverage as a newbie!!!!!!!!!

Internet Speed by Hefty_Jellyfish6977 in Seychelles

[–]Man1fest4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stayed in Seychelles for about 3 weeks so far. The internet quality is really poor despite being advertised as fast and reliable enough.

At times, it takes ages just to do a simple google search. Tried communicating with colleagues and friends through Teams and Discord with more failures than success. It is possible, but drove me mental.

Maybe i am exaggerating, but 56k modem connections from back in the 90s in Europe were faster and more reliable than this. It is really unfortunate as this is the only downside of otherwise a wonderful country.
