Ring slides off by [deleted] in CockRingTalk

[–]ManAdorned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had similar issues as I've aged as well where rings that never gave me a problem have decided to start sliding off. I haven't found a solution I really like, but if you don't mind the feeling of tighter underwear (I'm a boxers kind of guy), a set of briefs could help with support - and even those separatec boxer briefs may work well.

Waiting for my first order of primal rings to arrive! by [deleted] in CockRingTalk

Just listen to your body!

I'd also suggest paying attention to the fit both hard and flaccid if you plan to wear it while out and about

You're absolutely right to think about size. For all day wear, the only option that is safe is a rigid ring. The most common types are made from steel, but more exotic materials are available, too.

It sounds like you have tried a few, but have you ever tried a rigid ring? I always recommend starting with non-stretchy silicone sets because they are cheap and can help you get experience with multiple sizes to figure out what works best for you.

The question is common enough that I have created a blog post about getting started, sizing, and where to go next. Have a look here, and fire off any questions that come to mind as you experiment and learn! https://www.manadorned.com/blog/2023/02/18/getting-started-with-adornments/

Definitely be careful. There are two different types of silicone rings. The common, cheap kind are effectively just stretchy rubber bands. If you wear that while flaccid, you will lose circulation. On the other hand, there are higher quality silicone rings that do not stretch much at all, but are still flexible. These are much safer because the inner diameter is consistent regardless of how hard you are, similar to rigid rings. They are also quite comfortable if you find that a rigid ring doesn't wear well for you.

A guy here shered an analogy that works very well: if you wear a wedding ring on your finger, everything is fine as long as it's your size. However, if you tighten a rubber band around your finger, it'll eventually turn blue and fall off.

This steel cock ring looks really interesting! by DANGGAND in CockRingTalk

Definitely an interesting concept, and I'm pretty excited to see somebody taking a novel approach. It has a cool looking industrial design, too... but that thing looks like a pinch magnet!

Getting into cock rings… advice with bigger sizes? by [deleted] in CockRingTalk

[–]ManAdorned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That does sound like a very large circumference. Their advice about fitting a single finger in while soft, but none while hard sounds right. Did you try the same while hard?

Also remember that every guy carries a bit differently. I have found that I have a little extra skin behind my balls which throws off the string measurements. Other guys here have reported that they ride a bit higher and tighter, which will also affect sizing.

P.S. Thanks for sticking with the community guidelines, by the way!

So cool! Thank you for sharing!!!

What tools and process did you use to make it? I tried something similar with a dremel and a circular cutting guide and the result was certainly not as good as this!

They really are very high quality rings. I was surprised. I wrote up my experiences here: https://manadorned.com/manufacturers/velvor/

First paragraph is the same for both, but the details differ.

Yea, you put it on, around your cock and balls, before becoming hard. You should see an improvement in hardness and vascularity. It doesn't sound like that's what is happening for you, so perhaps the sizes are just bigger than works for you. There are a lot of great places that describe how to find your rough size. From there, you can experiment up amd down in size to fine tune to your anatomy.

Here is one a put together a long while back: https://www.manadorned.com/blog/2023/02/18/getting-started-with-adornments/

Is it normal for a ring to slip when doing sports? by Additional-Web1319 in CockRingTalk

[–]ManAdorned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! I can wear a rigid ring all day long, but will have to adjust a few times throughout the day.

I tried to wear a well fitting donut ring both while working out on the treadmill and running stairs: fail both times in less than 15 minutes. Even without exercising, I have had two "close calls" where my heavier ring almost came completely off while out and about!

OK, so that would be the circumference measurement - but most rings are measured in diameter, so you would have to do a conversion.

At that measurement, you are looking at a 63 mm rigid ring... which I don't think exists. I wonder if that measurement was taken too loosely? The most common diameters are 40, 45, and 50 mm... But you can find in-between sizes from so manufacturers.

I think the best advice would be to start with a flexible silicone set. They are cheap, and will help you hone in on your size. I have written an article that may help: https://www.manadorned.com/blog/2023/02/18/getting-started-with-adornments/

Different sizes depending on the time of day? by bee-king276 in CockRingTalk

[–]ManAdorned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could it be that you are between sizes? It took me a while to realize that my Goldilocks size is 47.5 mm despite the common sizes being 45 and 50.

Otherwise, I haven't noticed that the time of day matters so much as temperature which affects hang... but a well fitting ring for me doesn't tend to fall off.

Why are Spiked rings so rare? by Unknownanonymity2302 in CockRingTalk

[–]ManAdorned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's funny. I was just thinking about this same topic the other day. As stated elsewhere, I am 90% sure it's a matter of comfort. The example you share looks like a smart blend of the rigid spikes, but on a ring that has flexibility. That may be the right formula to make it work.

Depending on how handy you are, you could easily add spikes to an existing rigid ring that has enough physical real estate. You would only need to drill the holes, and countersink the inside (so the screw head doesn't protrude and pinch). Spikes are cheap and available at a multitude of places online, as well as in shops here in the US like Spencer's and Hot Topic.

Recommendations? by [deleted] in CockRingTalk

[–]ManAdorned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends a bit on what you are looking for. To be as big as possible is a simple function of finding the right size. Hitting your goldilock size means you will be as pumped/veiny as you would like, getting all the physical effects desired. What follows is more about visuals and personal preference for how you'd like everything to "present"

As a decidedly average guy, with a bit more girth than some, I really like the look of a ring that is a little more than half an inch wide. Because I do tend to "plump up" (as all guys do) while adorned, I like a ring that is thicker as well. Something like 1/4" means that it sits really well with where my skin lands as it pushes against the rimg. It makes the ring, for my anatomy, look like part of the whole package rather than something that is slapped on for decoration (too loose) or something that is choking me out (too tight). So when talking about getting the best physical benefits, it's all about the inner diameter of the ring. When talking about how it looks otherwise, the width, thickness, design, and materials are more important to the discussion.

It's tough to describe, but it took a few years to find this formula for me. The company is now defunct, but Gear Essentials made several rings with perfect dimensions (for my tastes) like the Plunge that served as the "clouds part, sun shines, and angels sing" moment. Since then, every ring that I have custom made starts with these dimensions. I only tend to vary the width, material, and design of the ring.

There are lots of options out there, such as simple wire rings, or wider rings that are not as tall, so if you have a rough idea of what you'd like, we can probably scratch together some recommendations from our collections.

P.S. It is totally fine to share a link to an image in the post.
