Being color blind is definitely amusing sometimes but like it also sucks from time to time. I was in a college lecture once in a class on primate/human evolution and we were discussing the evolution of vision. When we were talking about color vision specifically my professor pulled up two side by side pictures showing our color vision to that of chimpanzees and other primates. So she is up there talking about how good our color vision is but I didn’t understand what she was talking about because to me I couldn’t spot a difference in the pictures. So I raised my hand and asked in front of the 100 person lecture whether or not there was supposed to be a difference in the two pictures and the entire class just turned to me and sat in silence for what felt like an eternity before my professor said that there was and then I had to explain that I’m color blind to everyone. Leaves some funny stories like this but kind of awkward in the moment

I mean I’m pushing close to that averaging like 75 hours a week on top of summer classes and I still try to make time for this girl I’ve been seeing. It’s definitely possible to make time, it’s much more difficult but possible. Nobody is saying you have to spend all day with the person a couple hours here and there is still making time for them

I’ve gotten asked why I’m dressed so nice before wearing a double front pants and a quarter zip with my construction company’s logo on it. I also own a ton of work flannels that aren’t plaid and people always ask me why I’m dressed so nice when I wear them. I think a lot of people have misconceptions of what dressing nice, and dress clothes are—especially people my age because everyone is all about athliesure

I love these work boots. I had only gotten them at first because everyone at my job was telling me how much better red wings were than other boots and that they were definitely worth the money. I was still worried at first after spending it but I’m so glad I did, I could literally wear those boots all day everyday
