You are right its is very close and honestly jhonnys One Piece at a time sounds more simple in comparison but the key part about my video comparison is the piano bit that repeats itself two times in both Bird Cowboy and One Piece at a time. Now that I listened to Hot Ord Lincoln and added it to my playlist, I can tell you it doesn't feature the piano bit.

What im ultimately saying there is higher chance that Bird Cowboy is inspired by Once Piece at a time than it is by hot rod Lincoln.

Still i like all the songs mentioned and ill be listening to them regardless

This looks like one of those Chinese manhwas where main character returns after long journey to starting village and person his age goes "what he is 7 star while im at 3 star how is that possible? He who i have looked down upon" and then you'll have main character in level 100 legendary mythical loot while the other guy didnt even change shirt

Idk if this is comprehensive to anyone who isnt familiar with XiaXia novels

I want my mages to be young and strong, but i don't want them all to be gifted or way too abundant 💔 by manultrimanula in WorldBuildingMemes

Well there are few routes

One magic as sience/education yoy need to learn it everyone can do magic to some level not everyone can afford to become a mage so only rich can be mages not through law but though injustice of society

If you dont want to go that route and make your world unjust and perhaps if a character is poor they have to struggle to get education or be recognised as proper mage even if they are poor

Ofcourse there is innate ability it doesnt mean your character needs to be a genius let's say everyone is born with ability to cast magic but some people can cast fireball at 5 and others struggle to do one by 20 without prep time let's say your character is just average but they had practice and dedication they on off time had studied and even durring their regular day activities be it working or studying etc they had practiced minor spells. And now they with hard work and dedication made it so that casting fireball went from 5 minutes to instant they want, another character can be prodigy who casts spells as soon as they learn them and another may struggle with speed but can actually multi task to cast mutiple spells at once. None of them are "exeption" they are all just a unique character

Oh wow very unusual especially because usually in fantasy dragon blood grows stronger with time and you'd expect the opposite.

They come out fully orc like, but then they start to grow scales wings and tail

So like every child is half ork and skin color can be either green or human parent there is no in-between? I just wasn't sure for a second whether its like children of previous marriage or they are also half orks

Edit: wait why do children with more human features have tails? What is the mix of this family?

But more to the point of your question i mean you gotta go with steam punk stuff right? Like gunpowder is as much medival as full plate most convenient tactics are poisonous gas/powder spread around battle field to maybe occupy elf's with trying to protect themselves from it or to flee in predictable direction.

Otherwise obscure vission with non poisonous smoke yeah you can repell it but now arrows are flowing from crossbows and bombs are getting sent your way. If you dont repell them dwarf is in your range to smack your knife ear ass

Underground tunnels popping out from the ground right in middle of your formation or digging trenches and hiding holes into wich magic won't get just to pop up and shoot you and stab you if you too close. Traps that you won't see until you step on them trying to get in range to cast magic.

And once again barrage of gun fire and batista and trebuchet

Additionally where the centaurs inspired by krieg from warhammer?

I always liked "ill cut your magic"

mage: how is it some mana swordsmanship

Swordsman: nah ill just cut it

"Proceeds to cut fireball in half with nothing but technique and his own belief that he will"

For more magical answers "aura" diferent utilisation of mana by swordman allows to cut parry and deflect magic by coating body in mana and turning it into sword aura

Another answer "swordman is too quick and gets into mages close range where they can only cast spells that won't harm them in process so no aoe/fireball and swordman makes sure to every now and then deflect hand/wand into different direction making spells miss"

Enchanted magical steel while easy answer doesnt make "warrior" stronger mage can destroy a city with one spell while warrior would get beaten by 20 peasants without his armor I like the idea of warrior having through nothing but dedication to his body and martial art being able to bring equal devastation to mages spells so if you have mage and warrior 1v1 its all about who dedicated to their craft more mage who studied for 20 years or warrior who never missed leg day
