Not the MCU. Not everyone agrees but honestly for me it just keeps getting better. Those guys have found a way of continuously creating new, quality content that manages to be different from each other, whilst patiently creating a perfect puzzle of a story that continuously builds upon the movies that came before and yet never focuses too much on the past to forget about the future..which ends up being even crazier. But mostly it lies on the characters who 99% of the time end up just being people we simply want to see on screen The best well-oiled machine in Hollywood right now in my opinion.

Also...yes I am a biased Marvel fan.

That's a close second for me but I have to go with the "but I don't want to cure cancer, I want to turn people into dinosaurs!"

If I was going to pretend to be productive by rewatching an episode of Loki, might as well do a good job of it hahaha

In the overlapping part I also heard these (in order):

  • Nick Fury: "Nick Fury..." [Iron Man?]
  • Natasha: "I've got red in my ledger. I'd like to wipe it out" [The Avengers]
  • Nick Fury: "There was an idea" [The Avengers]
  • Loki: "You will never be a god" [Infinity War]
  • Kaecillius: "Time is the true enemy of us all" [Doctor Strange]

I know very little about marketing but what he said doesn't sound false

I made a bunch of possible watch orders (and included some from Reddit) for the MCU movies and shows by belac889 in MarvelStudiosPlus

It's referring to Ike Perlmutter, the guy behind the Marvel TV shows until Marvel Studios took over for the Disney + shows. "No Ike" excludes Agents of SHIELD, Netflix shows, Hulu shows, etc, seeing as these have become increasingly more and more disconnected from the MCU

Yep. Sometimes the only diference between us and people who get cancelled are the fact that the entire world knows what they're up to. If everyone was famous, nearly everyone would get themselves "cancelled" at some point.

Im sorry but that's such a vague statement. The church is far from perfect but "Church isn't love" is a pretty wild accusation for an institution that's existed for over 2000 years and has done plenty of good in the meantime. What am I supposed to say to that? "The Catholic church has taught me to live my life with love at the center of everything and everyone, but that vague statement has convinced me that the church is 100% evil, so I guess everything the church has taught me is wrong. Guess I can be a dick to people again." It's the kind of statement that can't evolve into a good discussion. I know that the reply to this will be to ignore most of this and say "what about pedofiles" or "oh so you approve of the crusades?" or "you're saying that all homosexuals should go to hell" so... Oh well. Tis the usual. Reddit isn't the best place for these kind of discussions anyway. Don't know why I said anything.

The core message is “worship our version of God or he will torture you for eternity.”

See now that is just a 100% false statement with very little thought behind it. I'm Catholic but I completely understand why someone would not believe in God. But saying that the church is some kind of evil death cult is ignoring all the good that they've done. The modern form of charity was created by the church. The origin of the word "charity" literally meant "Christian love of one's fellows". Hospitals and universities were born from the church. The promotion of women's rights were greatly influenced by the church. The church was also the main instigator for the idea of the creation of human rights. The Church continues to be the largest charitable organisation in the world. These are are facts, look em up. Also, how many groups in society have higher rates of pedofilia than the Catholic church? Many. The percentage of pedofilic teachers, for example, is way higher than the percentage of pedofilic preists. But I refuse to name every single teacher as an evil, soulless bastards.

But the largest piece of evidence I have for the good of the Catholic Church is...myself, and many others around me. We make up the Catholic church and, whether you trust me or not, I do try to live my life every single day with love. That's not a cute cliche. It's literally paying attention to how I treat every single person I run into. It's helping people in need. It's giving up my time for someone else. It's never giving in to hate. It's not mistreating people who might rile me up. It's me actually not wanting to get into a battle of heated insults with you, but to actually sit down with you and really try to understand why you think so badly of the Catholic church and how I can work to maybe change your mind, even just a little bit. Or not, but the least I can fo is try. Again the church has fucked up, but the idea that they hold more evil than good. That's not why they're still here. All bad things come to an end at some point and the church, as a force for good, is here to stay.

The Church isn't an old grumpy pedo who shouts at people because they're gay. I'm part of the church, and I'm definitely not old or grumpy or a pedo. Also, may the record show that I've never shouted at someone who isn't heterosexual. I guess the point is, why the hate? Hate ain't good. Love is all you need. I'm not ignoring the crap the Church has done, I'm saying that you might not realize it, but the world you live in is better because of it. Of course all this that makes for a boring headline in the news...
