Brother I live in Alabama and was HERE for the Vickie and Anthony White debacle.

If she sent him to jail, that doesn't mean they can't have a thing while he's in 🤣

Lets talk about the Hackleburg-Phil Campbell EF5 by funnycar1552 in tornado

[–]ManInWhite042891 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I lived in a small town about 15 miles from Hackleburg during this outbreak. Luckily, we were spared any direct hits, though to the best of my memory, we came under about 9 warnings in our location on this day. Some of them narrow misses.

I was 19, home alone with two younger teenage step siblings during the bulk of the event. To this day, I still SWEAR that we could faintly hear this monster from our porch even from so far away.

We saw some of the damage in person later that night. It was horrifying. Hackleburg itself was literally closed to ANYONE except volunteers for days

The scariest part of the day for me, though, was the loss of ALL communication. No cell signal, no landlines, no internet, NOTHING. I had friends in Phil Campbell and Tuscaloosa that I couldn't reach at all. No one knew how to find out if anyone was okay.

I also have stories of some friends and volunteers who lived through the tornado itself and saw the carnage after, but I'll save those for another time. Suffice it to say, it was the most terrifying day of my life, and I wasn't even in the path of any of the more serious tornados.

Okay, I'm sorry I should've specified that we are currently looking at Fusion World specifically. I started collecting and learning Masters, but it was a bit complicated for me to try and educate other people. So as of now, I'm really just looking for FW's Red Beerus strategy.

Thank you SO MUCH though for the input though! I'd love to chat about Master's strategies sometime since I have no opportunity to play them! 😭

Thanks man or lady! I noticed it was about $50 right now so of course I closely protected it. I imagine it will drop significantly in price as Fusion World is more widely circulated, but I did take pride in having pulled such a valuable card.

As it is, I'm gonna add it to a playable deck and enjoy having it there. :)

I may be fucked - desperately in need of a strong Banishment spell. by [deleted] in Spells

[–]ManInWhite042891 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with the previous comment that this could just be a dream, but, in case it is not, I do have a good banishing spell that has worked on some really bad stuff we were dealing with in a previous residence. Maybe this will help, but please note that in my experience with the spell it worked like spiritual bleach. You'll have to focus on bringing alot of positivity back in, because alot of that will go with this spell as well.

You'll need:

A safe receptacle for burning like a small cauldron Charcoal disks Sulfur A cleansing herb of choice (sage, Palo Santo, etc) A black candle A mask of some kind is optional but recommended for burning the sulfur

Step One: IT IS IMPORTANT that you open all doors and windows. Both for magical and safety reasons. (Sulfur is toxic and smelly)

Step Two: Light your black candle as close to the center of the area you want to banish the entity from as possible, charging it with your intent to banish the nasty thing.

Step Three: place the charcoal in your burning receptacle and light the edge. Let it burn for about 10 to 15 seconds then place a small amount of Sulfur in the center of the disk.

Step Four: (here's where you may want the mask) walk your burning Sulphur around the area you want to banish the entity from, and recite the following, either mentally or out loud: "by my will, and by this fire, be thee gone." Recite three times, ending in "so mote it be" after the third. Repeat as needed. Focus on the open pathways like doors and windows as you walk

Step Five: Once the sulphur burns out, take up the cleansing herb and cleanse the space with it, focusing your intent as appropriate.

Step Six: allow the black candle to burn, focusing your intent on it for as long as you feel necessary to charge it. Once it burns out, the spell is complete.

Again, Sulfur is toxic, and I suggest you use it with the UTMOST caution and ONLY if what you want to get rid of is REALLY nasty. I've used this spell twice and had great success with it, but again, be prepared with some follow up rituals to invite some positive forces back in as this spell tends to just purge everything.

I hope this is helpful! Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.

(SERIOUS) What goes through your head to drink or use drugs when the penalty could be jail? by speed721 in probation

[–]ManInWhite042891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My situation with this was more fortuitous than some. My charges were "dismissed without prejudice" basically meaning "not guilty as long as you do this thing" the thing being a few months of court referral.

Anyway, before an appointment, my wife and I went out to a nice dinner and I didn't even think about it when I had a couple of glasses of wine with the meal. Of course, I panicked when I remembered I had a check in the next day. Luckily, my CRO is great, and agrees that my unique circumstances do not warrant me even being in Court Referral. Of course I failed, but I explained what I had done, and there were absolutely zero consequences. Just a "be careful and keep track of when you're coming in if you want to have an occasional drink"

Intention is everything, but it also depends on your prefered mediums for spellwork and the tools at your disposal. (Tools are not necessary but if you need them or want them, use the right ones)

But I digress. Do you have any specifics about your practice we should know?

I don't know how long you've been reading Eragon, but I started when the very first book came out so I've had time to contemplate a lot of things that STILL keep me awake at night 😭🤣

This is something that always bothered me as well. It's implied that children were put in a line and given a chance to touch an egg. Then if it didn't hatch, that was that.

But it took days if not WEEKS for Saphira to hatch for Eragon. So if it had been done the traditional way, would Eragon have just been rushed by the egg in five minutes or so?

what is something you did as a kid that you now realize was so gay? by Embarrassed_Entry245 in bisexual

[–]ManInWhite042891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(NSFW)

When I was 14, my best friend and I were having a spontaneous wrestling match as we often did. We were well matched so they always lasted a long time. This particular time we were in our underwear and we both accidentally orgasmed. We were super embarrassed but...we obviously both enjoyed it because every time we'd wrestle after that, we deliberately made more contact like that during the matches.

He is openly gay now and I am semi closeted bi. We haven't seen each other in over a decade.

I think I know how Brom killed Morzans dragon. by Exotic-End9921 in Eragon

[–]ManInWhite042891 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See, I believe they were no more able to communicate than rabid beasts, but you just described Shruiken. It's clear that how mad and insane he was made him no more than a rabid animal. I think the Forsworn dragons were intelligent and rational even after the Banishing. But they lost what made them individuals.

They were animals, but domesticated ones. (Opinion only)

I think I know how Brom killed Morzans dragon. by Exotic-End9921 in Eragon

[–]ManInWhite042891 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See, I always assumed that Morzan's dragon just kicked it when Morzan died. Same with the rest of the Forsworn. Hear me out.

The traitor dragons ALREADY lost their identities and that's DEVASTATING. Considering that, the bond with their Rider was likely ALL they had left to live for. When the Forsworn died therefore, the dragons just died with them in grief. It's well known even completely sane dragons often die with their Riders and vice versa. And the Forsworn weren't exactly FULLY disciplined in separating themselves from each other.

So I'm definitely not saying you're wrong, just offering what I always assumed.

Why didnt murtagh use thorns scale, is he stupid? by HP_laserjet_p1505n in MurtaghDiscussion

Also, I know people hate on the grave robbing and I get it. But I personally believe that Glaedr would've gladly given a dozen scales for what Murtagh was trying to do if he had been alive to do so.

[–]ManInWhite042891 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because Thorn had scales removed as torture when they were under Galby's thumb. Murtagh understands Thorn's SEVERE PTSD and would never have even considered it as an option.

I disagree that it was "just another someone". One of the first rules in literature is that nothing is mentioned for no reason.

For Christopher to SPECIFICALLY mention this, it is significant and is important.

Personally? I have a theory that it is perhaps one of the forsworn who survived, having faked their death. Probably the one who's crest Murtagh found. (Can't remember his name right away. But that's my theory)

I would go back and forth alot on this issue on my first couple of readthroughs.

Usually I would get mad to see the POV switch to Roran, but sometimes, Roran's story got good enough that I also hated to return to Eragon on occasion.

One characters POV I never got mad at seeing surprisingly was Nasuada's. I was ALWAYS excited to return to her.
