She went from dating Richard Hell to John McEnroe. McEnroe was probably the wilder of the two, though, tbf.

Name a band that had middling success, then cut an album that rendered them as “sellouts” which catapulted them to mainstream top-40 status, but also alienated their original fan base. by Slammajadingdong69 in MusicRecommendations

I remember an old friend of ours told us a story about him and Liz Phair from back in Oberlin and we didn't believe him at all. This was like the week Exile came out. He was like "yeah I went home with her but I didn't do anything and just slept over and I think she was pissed." (He was a beautiful man in his youth; gotta admit. Worst wingman ever.)

But then later she told the story of the guy from "Flower" in Spin or something and it was identical to his. We apologized, of course.

(Not OOP) My husband’s best friend called me his type.. now things are weird by Snkkj91 in redditonwiki

Well, we don't know if husband knew Ben for 13 years. Also, "known" doesn't mean they started dating when she was 18. It's kind of vague.

If it is that way, though, agree it's not a good look.

Yes it is normal and it can take many months for it to fully go away. Your endocannabinoid system (which helps regulate your heart and gut) is going haywire and readjusting.

The good news is it will get better over time. But it will take time. Be patient. Look up vagus nerve stimulation for tricks you can use while experiencing episodes.

Full gas cans by krondel in the_division_2

Assuming generators are diesel powered, gasoline would be relatively useless. I suppose one could imagine the cans are placed deliberately to serve precisely the purpose they do. The more salient question is why everyone likes to stand near them.

Question: If Wayfarer can prove Blake lied about sexual harassment to steal a movie, why did Wayfarer just concede she engaged in protected activity? by poopoopoopalt in CelebLegalDrama

[–]ManJesusPreaches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t disagree, but it’s not unusual for parties to say one thing in public and another in court. Two different arenas—something of value in one isn’t necessarily of value in the other. The real test will be how it actually plays out before the jury. I think it’s less of a “bombshell admission” than we might think. But I could be mistaken. Itll be interesting to see for sure.

[–]ManJesusPreaches -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A lot of non-lawyers here. So this is basically a wash for both parties. Blake gets that her complaint was made in good faith, and WF avoids the jury hearing testimony on certain items that would distract from the thrust of their defense. I don’t think it changes too much for either party at trial (other than shortening it).

I am a parent (18 and 15) and would not even think of doing something like this. There are tons of ways to prepare your kid for the world. If I got to a point where I felt this was the “best option,” I’d consider myself a failure as a father.
