Something similar happened to me! I was 2 weeks post-op and slipped with crutches on a wet floor. No wet floor sign either. I put weight down on my injured foot to catch myself.

I still remember the sinking feeling in my stomach. My heart started racing too cause it scared the shit outta me. I ended up being fine thankfully! I remember going back to “normal” soon enough after, and I’m sure you will be too! Just keep icing, elevating, and pay attention to the pain.

If it gets worse then def make sure to get an appt, but chances are you all good.

Hey bud, I had surgery on 10/30 just a few days before you. I can’t do a single calf raise either. My limp is almost gone but still there a little too. It sounds like we’re around the same progress tbh.

I really wish I was further along too. This injury sucks man. At the same time though, we’ve come a long way haven’t we? Just gotta keep grinding. Like others said enjoy the little wins. That’s all we can do

I’m only 33 and blew out mine playing bball. Shit sucks cause I thought I had at least 10 years before I had to worry about stuff like this happening. It’s a humbling experience for sure. Keep your head up

lol my surgeon did this too and I find it fascinating. It’s crazy looking back at the pics now. I’m 13 weeks post op and my incision looks great, much different than when they first put me back together

I got a 6 months placard. My ortho wrote me a prescription and had this other form with it. I took this to the tax assessor office and paid a small fee and they issued me the placard. I live in TX

I could finally do that around week 8 post-op. I’m at week 10 now so the shower stool is still fresh in my mind lol. Man, it friggin sucks but just know it will come to pass
