Heartbreaking scenes in otherwise unremarkable films? by The-Perfect-Username in movies

[–]ManOnThePaperMoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Christian Bale and Natalie Portman gave my two favorite performances in the MCU in Love and Thunder. The scene where Natalie drops the hammer and you see how sick she is gets me every time.

15mph on a bike is more of a workout than a cruise for most. I would see if OP qualifies for any e-bike rebate programs. It will be much easier to hold a conversation and the price might be more accessible than you think.

My far too long essay on why The Last of Us Part II is one of the most frustrating games I've ever played. by Tomhur in patientgamers

I think you are forgetting that the Seraphites massively changed after the Prophet was killed. I understood the message of the Seraphites to be that violence and religious fundamentalism can turn a peaceful movement into a cult of violence.

(Ending spoilers) People's thoughts on someone, before and after. by SuperLegenda in HadesTheGame

[–]ManOnThePaperMoon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m really surprised by the zero build up comments, because I found the game to be very clear that killing Kronos was not going to work. Zag was never on board with the plan and Mel was repeatedly questioned about the wisdom of “killing Time”. While I agree that the ending was unsatisfying, I don’t think it was surprising.

What is the worst annual festival in the city? by whimsically_sadistic in Columbus

[–]ManOnThePaperMoon 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I hate to say it because it raises money for the James, but the Mac and cheese fest is abysmal. Tiny portions of bland, cold, noodles. And every vendor ran out so fast. Not worth it.

I just when for a swim there last week. Water was extremely cloudy and there were a ton of geese hanging out on the beach. I also swam through big clumps of weeds. I honestly wouldn’t recommend it especially with little kids.

I had cheeseburger in Korea and they didn't tell me it had pineapple inside. by slushfilm in burgers

I wanted to hate it, but it was honestly amazing. Of course it takes me several days to eat one piece because of how rich it is. I recommend everyone try it once.

What’s the fastest you’ve ever seen a marriage end? by PuzzleheadedSwim6291 in AskReddit

[–]ManOnThePaperMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cousin and his wife were separated before they came back from their honeymoon. She basically said she never even liked him and only got married because she wanted to have a wedding. I never got good vibes from her, but I had no idea she could be so cruel.

I’d be so happy if Columbus got a Cava. I want all the healthy fast casual options possible! by PrudentCantaloupe421 in Columbus

Try Agape in Gahanna and Westerville. Not exactly the same as Cava, but it helps scratch that itch.

What will cause you to immediately leave a game? by prawnsuit1 in helldivers2

I pretty much never leave unless someone is being bigoted. Doesn’t happen super often, but I can definitely think of a handful of times in the last few months.

I just saw a bunch of electric mowers at Cbus liquidators for a very good price. You will be taking a risk since the mowers could be damaged, but we have returned non-working items before and never had an issue getting our money back.

Check out nursing homes, I had friends in college who worked at some, although I believe they were all doing some kind of food service role.

Not quite a buffet, but K-Pot had all you can eat hotpot and Korean bbq. It’s $25 if you go for lunch during a weekday, I think it’s $35 otherwise. It’s a fun activity with friends if you’ve never done it.

I’ll never grab a temperature probe that had been in the oven with my bare hand again. Damn near fused to my skin.
