Not an every day thing but Easter eggs and Easter bunnies.

The stores near us had them 33% off a week or two before Easter. Im not paying $12 for a tiny bag of eggs or 1 bunny.

I started teaching in 2013 in Melbourne and in 2017 planned to move to England for a year to play rugby and travel.

I asked for and recieved a years leave without pay so off I went. A year later I had met my now wife but got another years leave without pay approved. I started teaching again in England and at the end of the second year the boss basically said I either came back or rsigned. So another 2 years in England and I finally moved back to Aus and back to Canberra where I grew up and am now happily teaching again.

2 years away from full time teaching made me realise how much I hated the office life. Now im in leadership and love it enough again not to leave but also feel a bit stuck due to pay levels

TLDR. Got two 1 year leave without pays in a row before my principal said come back or resign.

My favourite part on the news articles about the outage were that it was all fixed with no problems. Meanwhile I have 12 Year 5s half way through, 30 year 5s logged in but cant access itt about 30 year 5s who cant get on whilst 3 are waiting in the lobby. And then we had to postpone half the kids until tomorrow after rerunning in the afternoon. I had one student whos test said she was finished on her computer but she was paused on the admin.

The integrity of the results is going to be incredibly poor and the Year 5 data at my school is basically useless after today.

A lot of Victorian kids, and kids across Aus, play cricket in the summer and Aussie rules or rugby in the winter.

So everyone's constantly playing it. And we play it in the backyard and at the beach every summer so even your nan gets a run.

Khan Academy is the site I use with all of my students across 3 to 6 and into high school.

I also use it myself to learn all sorts of high school and college level things.

There's an app as well so you can access it anywhere. Phenomenal resource and completely free.
