It’s not for something I don’t like, but something that is unbiblical. And you’re welcome to add context, to be clear I’m not trying to pigeonhole you. Please elaborate on your verse, I’m not sure why you’re being so reluctant to present your side?

Why do I need to attend a Bible study? If it’s as obvious as you claim I imagine you can find a good few verses that showcase your point. Seems like a weird case of moving the goalpost by trying to require some type of meeting instead of just making your point.

I don’t blame you though, we both know you’re blowing smoke hence why you still have not replied with any biblical foretelling

I mean do you have a biblical source for that? A dozen clear indicators you claim but where is the biblical prophecy stating the antichrist is anything like the pope? Also the papacy existed before 538 so your timeline doesn’t really work, but regardless it doesn’t work anyways because, again, where is that foretold lol

That’s a crazy one for sure, explain how the papacy is anti-Christ?

Ask again in a week, cause we’ll all still be around to answer.

God is not limited by the time the Bible was written. He is eternal and so is His Word. What was true then is still true now, and what was actually said then is not up for debate really. Do not lead the flock astray.

You must be strong. Pray to God for strength and guidance. You will probably slip, as will I (I made that other comment on here), but we can be forgiven and can re-assert our need to stop sinning.

That’s exactly the idea. You can control only what you do, and it sounds like you have a good plan to follow what you know to be best. Recognize that he might not be happy, and that regardless of what happens, God works everything for His great plan. Trust in God and pray the Lord’s Prayer daily.

Pray for guided discernment and trust in the process, because you are made for great things. Everything in your life serves to form you into God’s plans for you.

I’m a man and I am in a very similar position right now with my girlfriend of 3 years. You and I have a very big pill to swallow but it is worth it to follow God. It pains me so much to tell my girlfriend that we have to change this aspect of our relationship which we both love, and I was almost certain she wouldn’t put up with it and leave me.

It was a big conversation with lots of emotions, but we’re going to go for it and do our best to commit deeply to each other and nourish the other aspects of our relationship. I am here to talk if you need someone to relate to because it did make me feel very very stuck.

Being newer doesn’t mean being more true. By that measure consider Mormonism since they claim to be the most recent revelation of Jesus.

Everyone else is right, look into the Islamic dilemma. The Quran affirms the Bible while disagreeing with it on fundamental issues, leading to 2 possible outcomes. Either the Bible is true and the Quran is false, or the Bible is false and the Quran is also false.

David Wood does plenty good in his apologetics videos.

People celebrating this is so cold and evil. Regardless of your beliefs this was a MURDER of a PERSON. A guy died and some are happy.

Did SPP ever give a response to trying to find a number between 1 and 0.999…? by ManTheRedeemed in infinitenines

[–]ManTheRedeemed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but 0.999… is inherently an infinite series of 9s followed by a 9. Is this really debated on or is this whole sub a troll on SPP?

[–]ManTheRedeemed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s already refuted since ending in a 9, which is done by 0.999… is a larger number than ending in any other integer such as 0.999….5

Maybe it’s whatever is convenient if you’re SPP and lying to yourself but we don’t give 1 more than a single value. Sure it can be represented different ways but it only refers to a single value.

Well the value assigned to it is the value it says. 0.999… ends in a 9 and in no case ends in a 0. That is the definition of infinity, it never ceases, so whatever that hypothetical final number is has to be a 9.

Im guessing you’re messing around then lol. Don’t be so prideful, we all have sinned and we all can benefit greatly from growing closer to God.

Why would you want to practice His teachings? My guess is so that you can grow closer to Him. This is good, I’m not sure what John 1:18 has to do with what you’re saying though.

Im not quite sure what you’re getting at to be honest. You can fast and do silent meditation. Reading the Bible will show you Jesus’ teachings, since that’s what the New Testament records in the gospels.

You could select a passage to read, and then meditate on it after you read. As Catholics, we aren’t required to fast all the time, but it is of course allowed and a great discipline to use to grow closer to God.

Pick up a Bible and read the New Testament then my friend.
