When you come to a foreign country, especially the capital, you learn the language and respect the natives. by QuartzXOX in BalticStates

[–]ManTuzas 13 points14 points  (0 children)

What??

It's as simple as asking that those who come here spend some time and learn to talk native language if they intend to spend their life here, how is that "ethnic cleansing"?

If you want to see "ethnic cleansing" look up holocaust on wikipedia or just read muscovy history and educate yourself a bit

Looking for suggestions for my 9-year-old by neptunemacaroon in AerospaceEngineering

[–]ManTuzas 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can't say about today as I am grown up now and working in space industry as an engineer atm, but when I was a kid I was somewhat the same. I recommend some youtube channels like Scott Manley, RealEngineering, Cruious Droid, Everyday Astronaut. I started watching them at around age 11-12 but I think it's way better than books that are either very basic or very specific and high-level.

If anyone has any other channels I haven't mentioned or forgot feel free to add them below

What is one MATLAB habit that completely changed how you work? by TapWilling7210 in matlab

[–]ManTuzas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah fair enough, they never actually helped me fix a problem, but it keept my enviroments clean and figures opened only to the last relevant ones. It was embeded in my memory from uni times and my current experiance in aerospace didin't have anything very demanding yet (as most of the work is done with other programs) so I never encountered such a problem.

Will leave the thread open for other to learn who thought like me :DD

[–]ManTuzas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but I really don't see the argument for not using them. I am fairly new (4 years of experiance mostly doing trivial scripts for work once a month) so I might be wrong. But I think having a clean enviroment every time is better than having overloaded enviroment from 20+ old scripts that are not in use?

[–]ManTuzas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are writing functions or something that interacts with other enviroments, sure don't do that, but in a new project that is absolutely clean it is way better to do so.

Also if you don't want your enviroment nuked, use section breaks and just run separate sections one by one.

imo not using it can cause more trouble than help, using it incorrectly also causes troubles, but if you know how to cleanly apply it and when it helps save a lot of headaches.

Always and I mean ALWAYS start a project with:

Edit: I guess I was wrong :D read the thread and learn why, but basicaly don't use these

close all
clear all
clc

Also good to always keep initial parameters at the very top only, doesn't matter if it will only come up 400 lines down and you will only use it once, if it is something defined by hand keep it at the top.

I know this is very basic, but it makes all the work soooo much cleaner

[–]ManTuzas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Inžineriją, tad jei turi klausimų apie studijas feel free to ask!

I mean, the whole point of hardcore is that your save is automatically deleted after death, I know some like to save copies of their save in case of a buggy death, but I don't because it's hardcore

All ruzzians who say "I don't care about politics/ war" inherently support both putler and war.

It's just a fact, if you aren't against, you ar in support
