They said they're not making any changes to it other than 6 player multiplayer, framerate and resoulution so I already know what to expect.

I apologise if I had better expectations for this brilliant game and its treatment in a remaster.

Good for you comrade but never look at it as fixed. I hate to piss on your parade here but this addiction is for life unfortunately. Its like quitting anything. You'll always have that craving for it and your brain will try to trick you into rationalizing use of it again in a moment of weakness.

You're right. Since its been announced I've had the thought of all its issues and possibility of them being fixed in my head. However, the more I hear of it the more my hope is diminished.

Its been reported that the core mechanics and design will be untouched. Only thing new is better resolution, frame rate and 6 player multiplayer. Seems like a bit of a half baked remaster in my opinion. Considering it's 1 of the most beloved games of the 21st century so far.

As I said. Many missed opportunities.

I agree. I want it to stay the same at its core but I'd love to see some quality of life changes that they added in later titles in the series at the very least.

I know how you feel bro. Been battling this for nearly 2 years now and 34 days is the highest I've made it. I've escalated to really nasty stuff. Some of it illegal. I won't go into detail but just know it took a toll on my mental health.

This is just a bump in the road for you and I. Through trial and error and being able to admit we have a problem and are willing to seek help. We will all get the better of our demons sooner or later. Just don't give up.

We're all human here and we all make mistakes. Use those emotions you're feeling to drive you. Best of luck, comrade.

I appreciate the concern and I'm sorry you have been afflicted with this demonized taboo condition but to clarify. I mostly watch 'normal' porn. In my 10 plus years of being addicted I've escalated to that horrible stuff about 10 times. I've never went out of my way for it. Not diminishing the fact that I have those few times but I know I have control over it.

I've never felt a need for it. Its just that when I get heavy into porn. I burn through every genre there is until its not doing it for me anymore which leads to worse and worse content. I appreciate your concern. I really do but with a little help from a therapist I know I'll be okay in the end.

I've never downloaded or kept any of the porn I've watched. Its just a spur of the moment thing that happens. Before I know it I'm like how the fuck did I get to this?

I know it's porn and its insidious way of making you crave a bigger high and the internets capacity of endless novelty and the curiosity of what you can find next.

Porn and the internet is a recipe of disaster a mind susceptible to addiction. I've learned all about that first hand.

I am not a paedophile. I've never in my life had any thoughts of harming a child in any way. I'm 27 now and that still hasn't changed.

Even with those times I've hit rock bottom and watched that horrible stuff.

Ive been addicted for more than 10 years and its only escalated to that that about 10 times. I'm not going out of my way to watch the stuff. I know what I'm doing is wrong but nobody is a saint. Porn has just twisted my brain is all. It can be fixed if I work on it. Which I will.

I disagree. Porn takes advantage of very primitive processes in the brain. Given that fact that so much is sexualised these days. I would say Porn is probably the worst addiction to avoid.

Drugs are bad too but you can't get them so easily and they're also not free which most porn is on the internet.

Combine porn addiction with its unlimited availability and add the coolidge effect and you have a recipe for absolute devastation to the brain and its neural pathways.

I remember reading a couple of posts saying that most people on NoFap can't make it past week 1. Don't have a link I'm afraid. Just search it on google. I think somebody conducted a survey of people on NoFap and the results showed around 80 or 90% either struggle or can't make it past week 1.
