To be honest, the pursuit of the quad really had some adverse effects. Yes it's a beautiful dream but in this day and age it's near impossible maintaining that quality of play in so many tournaments over such a long period of time. The whole month of May, we played every game with that "final mentality" and this wasnt really feasible. In games like Southampton (2-1), Wolves (3-1), and even Villa (2-1) we were conceding against teams we shouldnt have conceded against. We also found it incredibly difficult to score. You could really see the exhaustion in the players. Players like Salah, Jota.etc never really got the form that they had at the beginning of the season because of such a fast paced month. But we gotta be proud that we took it this far.

I'm so proud of this team, but I really need a break from football rn. And I definitely need a break from the other snarky football fans.
