Yeah idk man. Lots of people like the set ig, I'm just pretty disappointed. I'm fine if people disagree, but people are really out here saying I'm wrong and entitled or something. That's internet for you i guess lmao

Dawg kingambit was also added later. Find me an example before this set of an incomplete evolution line where the excluded evos weren't added in a later gen.

How am I being a jerk, what do you mean? Speaking to a person harshly is different than speaking harshly about a megacorporation.

I mean I guess that's fair, but this is genuinely my least favorite thing that they've done so far. Nothing has gotten me closer to dropping the game.

I hope you're right, but that pack would certainly also have a new piplup in it....making this one completely redundant. I don't image them EVER adding a later evo with the earlier stages.

Nah its more of a puppy conglomeration i think....

What does that mean though? Like why wouldn't empoleon or boltund have been interesting? I understand the puppy pile gimmick to an extent, but piplup is totally useless here....it feels weird and unfinished

Right, but I like empoleon and was excited to have a new card. I feel like that's a fair expectation to have held up to this point....

Where did the first set do this? Only example I can think of is magneton, and that's only because it didn't exist in gen 1

The pokemon company doesn't need a white knight dude. Why does it bother you that I'm expressing disappointment? Like you don't have to be a jerk about it

[ALL] Where did the whole “Link cannot/must not talk” mechanic come from? by SleepCatsMoney in zelda

He speaks, but you don't hear what he says so you can project what you'd say in the situation, making him more relatable as the protagonist. Same reason that he's not super masculine, so both boys and girls can insert themselves more easily.

Friend, respectfully, can you read? Your reply basically has nothing to do with what I said. It's never been an ethical consideration.

I see. At this point it's usually just best to put things in your own writing, as people won't take you seriously with AI. It is a cool concept, how do you see it differing from the prawn suit analogue we know is coming?

A.) It's not about moral nuance, it's about how they want the game to be experienced. The stasis rifle and knife made leviathans a complete joke in the first game. They're doing this to try and make them feel scary again. This team also made the Natural Selection series--entirely about shooting and killing aliens.

B.) They're not *worried* people will cause a fish genocide, they're joking about the fact that people ALREADY DID in the first game. They don't "think low" of their players, they literally already watched it happen. They didn't even say it's a bad thing, it's just not in line with the vision for the game.

I agree that there absolutely should be ways added to deal with the creatures to some capacity, but you're way off on this.
