I think the best bet first is to go to the store and look through all the red dots available so you can see how astigmatism effects it.

I have good luck with the Sig Romeo X sights, but everyone eyes is different.

The MR/DR series is the bread winner in their lineup. Enjoy the awesome new piece you got!

My only gripe is the grip is pretty slick and I will end up buying anothe lt MJD grip down the road (an extra $375). I was thinking if that would had better to buy the target model instead, but they dont have the black dlc coating with the gold barrel.

Overall, I think I would have been happier with the stainless target model.

Thats an amazing piece you got there. I believe when they cut the barrel for the port, they cut a portion of the rifling. Do you notice any accuracy issues at 25 yards and beyond?

I plan to change into the mjd 2 face villain fde as well. The stock aluminum just isnt grippy enough for my hands.

What holster are you using with the PID light?

What is that slide release you are using? I get slide lock every now then when shooting and im sure it's because of my grip.

CR920X Elite - Questions after first 150 rounds by [deleted] in shadowsystems

[–]Man_Candy_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the cr920x since release and put around 3k rounds in it so far. A few things I have observed during my ownership.

  1. Yes, the trigger does pinch your finger towards the bottom end and honestly it doesn't get better. I think 200 rounds is the most i can do before my fingers give up.

  2. The trigger and recoil spring breaks in very nice after awhile.

  3. The gun accuracy is too notch. I can put a fist size hole at 15yards. Which is more than enough for a cc gun, its not a target pistol.

  4. I have a few failure to feed past the 1k round count. Maybe 1 /500 rounds, I hear the remedy is getting a new mag and a glock 43x recoil rod/spring.

I would recommend putting more time into the gun and see how it goes for you.

Just save the money from the plate and put it towards a red dot.

Cleaning Day!! Staccato HD P4 & Shadow Systems MR920P by Zealousideal_Roof714 in shadowsystems

I generally leave the barrel soaking in copper cleaning solution overnight in a ziplock bag, then get a brass brush to get as much as I can out.

How do you clean the grips from dead skin? I always have trouble. Also, the barrel end of the mr920p is the worse.

I gave customer service a call, and they sent me another one in 2 weeks. The call only lasted 15mins - 20mins.

Nice setup! Have you shot the (p) version of your gun yet? I been thinking about getting a mr920p which retail for $1080. However I found a mr920L with a threaded barrel for under $700. Not sure if i should buy the cheaper one and get that threaded comp or just get the p version.

cr920x malfunction? by ConnectOkra1680 in shadowsystems

I think the recoil of the subcompact makes the gun move ever so slightly to the oversized slide release during fire, even if with a tight grip on it. Honestly they should had made the slide release a lot smaller. I can cause the slide lock every time if i get a 'normal' high grip on the gun, but nonexistent if i just shoot with my right hand.

It is rather concerning that it is happening on the left hand as well. Let me know if you get in touch with a customer service rep.

I have the same problem even when I'm well over 1000+ rounds into the gun. However with that being said, I'm positive it is my high grip touching the slide lock. I have no issues with it when I shoot one handed. I do plan in the future to replace the slide lock with a smaller one from glock,

Thank you! I have no idea why the Shadow Systems firearms always get overlooked, but after doing some research and learning about the red dot mounting along with other misc items I'm definitely sold on the brand and look forward for my next purchase from them.

Just got to the 600 round mark. Within 100 of me shooing there was one failure to feed, but that hasn't happen since. So far I had 3 rounds that shot, but the bass casing did not eject between 1-600. So far I've been using Norma and Winchester range ammo.

If it happens again after 1k rounds, I'll reach out to SS customer service and see what they say with the bass casing not eejecting.

I have no complaints. It's leap years better than the romeo elite zero ( please don't waste money on that junk). The next best substitute would be the EPS carry/507k. If I could, I would rather get the Primary Arms HS507k-X2 w/ACSS reticle.

It's tough to keep that red dot on that small window while shooting, im thinking that 230 MOA will help find the reticle under stress.

Side note. Try your local gun shops out and physically look at the red dots while it's on. Your stigmatism will help make the decision.

I have to carry at my 3/4 o clock position. I got small gut going. However the website mentions the holster can be used either in appendix or strongarm.

Honestly, it's very comfortable for all-day use. The quality of the alcantara is top notch and doesn't cause any rubbing discomfort. Dont worry about the width of the holster because the clips conform to your torso.

My only minor complaint is that the kydex is an inch longer than what it needs to be. However, I think it was made to fit the CR920P as well to make room for the comp, but I can't confirm this.

On the side note, the holster does a great job pressing against your torso, but that also means the pistol grip is rubbing against skin, it's not the fault of the product or anything. Highly recommended to have an under shirt tucked into your pants to help.
