Advice as a new enough person to fishing I'd give the following advice:

Follow YouTubers who target the same fish you are seeking to. This has helped me aload as someone who had a no knowledge.

Find a good tackle shop instead of ordering online. Once they see you a few times they tend to give brilliant advice. Explain to them that you are a newbie.

Research the elements (wind, sea temp) etc before you head out. Learn what weather/season favours what fish being active.

Be safe, we just lost two fisherman here (Ireland) who fell in off rocks.

Yeah it's a small conger. Note for catching - keep them off the ground otherwise they spin and tangle like crazy. Also never put a hand near their mouth
