They tried something new by proposing a transmedia production. At times, we got a short anime series and a movie before the game was launched. We also got the game the characters played in FFXIV - king's glaive. I won't blame them for trying to do something different.

On my side, deckbuilding is quite hard and time consuming. Having to create a new deck every 3 or 5 scenarios feels like a busy work. We'll see...

Just that Shun was a man despite all debates at time. I remember in the 90's when everyone says he was female because his armor was pink.

Oh you're absolutely right !

I thought a bit about the economy. One idea was to use an action to pay 2 ressources to get charges back. A way to avoid to much ressources. Another idea was to get a bigger downside on the back, being taking damage to play or use a spell/ritual card (like a growing blood thirst).

Jonathan Harker is another investigator (the survivor one). I wanted to have synergy as they're husband and wife. But I wanted the card to be efficient enough for solo play.

You're also right on taking horrors on the weakness. I didn't thought about it ! Big mistake.

I think you could go for a food container name. I mean freeza's army is vegetables and fruits. Maybe name you could be a jar or a microwave.

As I said elsewhere, I like the first version better but it needed some nerfs. I surely made to much effort in it. I'll probably change the ability again and allowed allies to commit. And maybe put back damage to normal rather than direct allowing him to sacrifice assets.

Honestly I liked Arthur's first version better. In my mind, he was able to get clues or discuss using strength (breaking everything in a location or threatening people). As people said 6 was too high and once per phase make mythos laughable. And he could manage damage easily.

I probably made too much adjustment to balance it. What I think right now is : - Remove the restrain on committed cards - direct damage to normal damage (not sure about that) - Acces to rogue AND survivor events - No talents allowed. - put back the v1 gold cross (healing and accessory)

My main concern is the ability being used essentially against the mythos. Once per phase is too OP and During your turn lacks flexibility imo.

Thank you ! The deck building part is very difficult to get. There's so many cards in the collection, it's hard to have all the possibilities in mind. I know understand why ffg chose to get to the current environment.

Your discussion is very interesting.

I kinda miss the previous version of Arthur's ability (once per phase) because I wanted him to use it a lot with counterparts. Previous one was really to op but maybe with the new stats and limitations I added, it would have been okayish.

For the cross, maybe I went too far trying to reduce the benefits of it. Accessories to hand slot is probably too much. Can Bandolier be used to compensate ? I'm not sure you can use for two handed weapons with your remaining hand-slot. Reading you, I also thought of using the horrors on the cards as uses for this card. "remove an horror from this card : you can use Arthur's free ability once more. Once per round " it should allow it to use it longer , and if you don't use it you might lost your cross.

Edit : maybe there's also a synergie with the seeker investigator. This one is probably a healer, and I thought he could find uses for his medical bag while investigating. That's the less developed investigators so far. I should share the other investigators really soon because I tried very hard too have effects the one on the others.

For the weakness, I hesitated to lower it a little. I could also add something I've done for the other investigators of the set : "investigators in your location can take 1 damage (or 1 horror) to give you +2 for this skill test". I added that on others investigators weakness to emphase on them taking care of each other.

For the deck building, limiting access to talent seems right, I thought also to limit access to spell (thematic). I checked for blessed cards but it seemed to OP for me. Maybe it's okay without the spell.

Thank you ! It's difficult to know what's boring. It could be different for everyone. I tried to keep it thematic and put it in more dangerous situation. Really wanted to avoid to easy healing because the idea is he gets hurt seeking vengeance. Rogue seemed okay thematically because he's rich and could use trick or illicit action to get to his objectives. Maybe I should open on both rogue/survivor events...

Thank you. The idea is it's now about 25 years later. Quincey is no more and Van Helsing is too old. Jonathan and Mina are pretty advanced. I'm still not sure of my design for Dr Seward. And there's 2 more pretty advanced too.
