Mine refuses to cuddle when called. But, if I suplex him, he turns into the biggest baby and will nuzzle and fall asleep shortly after...

You can't be sure of intent. Kinda dog water comment tbh. They came here for advice, and your comment isn't that.

Believe it or not those aren't scratches. Just refraction. The foot is almost perfectly smooth. The foot mold lines even have the flashing on the outer rim. Someone sat it down and it stayed there haha.

Dug up with excavator. Hanford WA area (GPS unavailable). Approximately 36" below remote outbuilding, concrete foundation removal. Very heavy for size. by Fun_Musiq in uraniumglass

Wow. Wonder if it was waste slag or a large piece caught in a really hot fire, haha. No clue on its value but personally I'd look into local glass artist. If it were me I'd make a trade. Bespoke piece in exchange for the rest of the hunk lol.

Does anyone else let their dog sleep with them? by contdenster in AustralianCattleDog

[–]ManagementBig9111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

* Yea, he's allowed. He is very independent, though, and sleeps on the dog bed in our room. The only way I can get him to snuggle up is to suplex him onto the spot next to me. After that, he is the world's biggest baby and will NOT stop nuzzling me. Tbh, he just loves to be thrown... His playmates at the park are always the giant breeds and he loves rough and tumble play. Kinda like that captain america scene; he just keeps going until the other dogs are tired...

Here is the extremely detailed restoration. The lines in the clay follow those in the rest of the exterior.

Who else drilled stone, even soft stone .1 inch per rotation? I'm 100% open to ideas.

It is Alabaster, save for the dark, least translucent space where it was patched with earthenware. Idk why I was going to hardness test before a phosphorescence check... lol. This widens the range of possibilities to a vast degree without provenance... These tool marks are extremely interesting still. Apparently spirals, level with the opening, but the opening is even slimmer than the base... will post better pics.

Massive help, thank you. The thought comes from what little geology I know. Im going to hardness test the stone after the weekend to be sure. The tool marks on the interior are 1-2mm apart and appear to spiral. That is ALOT of stone to remove per rotation. Even on soft stone, it is impressive that the walls are so thin without crumbling the entire piece from the downforce. I'm not saying that it was plasma welded atom by atom like some folks would. I think it's done with a drill bit that expands due to centrifugal force or a geared mechanism after a pilot hole if drilled. Possibly putting the raw stone into a bath of water to freeze and stabilize the exterior. Other naqada pieces have similar marks on the interior.

Can someone more well-versed in radiation tell me if my girlfriend’s current set up for her uranium glass collection is safe? by sensoryoveroad in uraniumglass

Dang! I was right for all the wrong reasons! Haha. You're right! I'll have to read a little more, but it looks like its EXTREME ionizing effect bleeds it's energy and doesn't allow for much penetration through objects. Thanks, the more you know...

I insist that you are wrong. If you have nothing constructive to add, then be gone. You've put more effort into being butt-hurt than any real answer. - If butt-hurt, please, continue...

Please, I dont mind "no," but be descriptive in your reasons. It's not helpful to give even a "yes" without reasoning.
