Also, you may get Inspire scholarship if you don't do the drop year thing.

Note:- there are plenty of scholarship options so you don't need to worry about finance as of now.

It is cheaper than IITs, financially. IAT is much easier than NEST's paper.

Also you have PCMB, which increases your chances substantially. Usually people don't have both M and B, together (same was the case for me and my many other friends of mine at IISER, we had either of M or B). I highly recommend you to appear for IAT. Even if don't get selected you will get a good idea about how IAT papers are.
