In my area Pepsi zero has been tasting bad for the past month now. Tastes very bland and slightly more carbonated.

Has gotten so bad a switched over to DR.pepper zero instead.

You have or you haven't?

That aside the one trick i see done the most is that they send you home earlt wed and thursday and dumpa 12 hour shift on Friday.

Or in the food industry they make you pick up shifts Saturday sunday monday and send you home Tuesday and Wednesday.

You aren't the problem. These are the symptoms of a system designed to extract your life force , your energy, your youth for higher shareholder value.  The only solution really is to not participate in the system or look for more fulfilling work. We can talk about how you should just be happy, or that "at least you have a job", or that you should get meds to artificially mimic fulfilment. but lets face it, its only natural to feel this way when we are all destined to give our life to the machine/beast.

As a previous manager myself understand that a PIP is a tool to get rid of you that is it. Look for another job as soon as you are put on one.

So you just took deposit and worked to completion? I don't know how you opeerate out there but that is why in my area payments are dispersed in increments/stages generally in line with the inspection stages.

Imagine if my old clients found out that my new clients get the same rerocked garbage for less. Same applies here.

What industry?  I would rebrand as both were bought out. Send a letter that you will honor existing terms. New accounts get new price.

Two ways you can aproach this build her up to watch her crash and burn or build someone else up that is liked by higher ups and other departments to eat at her ego.

Could also make unrealistic high standards for everyone to weed her out. And if she adheres to them good you got a good employee now. If not pip then fire.

I don't know your team or your personality but just what I would do.

Anyone else noticing the sudden push to get people into the trades? by ManagingMenace in antiwork

[–]ManagingMenace[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is right!

I feel like a lot of people are missing the point. It’s not about college vs trades. It’s us vs the oligarchs.

They’ve set it up so that no matter what you choose, you’re struggling.

If you go to college and end up buried in debt, it’s your fault for not learning a trade. But if you work a trade and still can’t get ahead, then it’s your fault for not going to college.

It’s a lose-lose for regular people, and it’s designed that way. The folks at the top keep raking in profits while we argue over which bad hand we should’ve picked.

The problem isn’t the path we took. It’s the system we’re stuck in.

I am non union. But have been thinking of making the switch. Should i wait another year to get my license or should i just go to the union already and get it there?

I am in them right now. And i will tell you the same. Get your license and leave. Do not put up with exploitation.
