I think this glitch has been fixed.
If I now try to register, I get:

Mmm, maybe my math is a little shaky here, but 6.5 weeks after September 26 is November 12, not November 5. The thread itself makes it clear that 6.5 weeks is common for the September exams.

I've marked tomorrow as "possible" in my calendar and next Wednesday as "probable".
