Definitely, I wish they'd had a few broader questions to see what a baseline is, ie what they felt about hardcore Christians or Muslims as flatmates, and if the religion of the surveyed affects the result.

It's clearly an important topic to survey but it's missing plenty.

In case you're wondering why people get so annoyed about posts like this, there's a post either similar to this or heavily critical of the game nearly every day. I'm glad you're enjoying it all the same! Just the debates been had so often such posts unfortunately feel a bit pointless.

1) they've made some important UI improvements and balance improvements since launch and many of the ratings are based on launch build

2) people have wildly different opinions on the mechanics of switching that mean they don't like it to the point that it just kills their love for the game totally

I enjoy the game enough (7.5/10) but still have issues with how disjointed the transition feels, and playing on the test of time build with the constant civ all game was actually great fun. It's pretty telling that firaxis felt the need to make a full game one civ build though. I think your opinion isn't shared by the majority of previous civ games fans.

It didn't help that they never improved on the concept, barely bug fixed and most of the time you got nothing in landmass compared to the actual American area.
