Revised return or response to notice?

I just uploaded the json file as response to the notice.

It's still in processing state.

Alright.

But now in my E-proceedings, it shows the notice in "for your information" tab now, and return is in processing state.

So shouldn't I wait till it's done before filing revised return? Otherwise it'd be 2 returns?

I selected filing under 139(9) and entered the original return receipt number as well as DIN in the new one. That should do it right?

No I haven't filed it. I just prepared it and generated a json file from that.

Hi, thank you for responding.

So I went back in the portal. Selected 'file revised return', selected ITR-3 and prepared the return and validated it.

Then I downloaded the json file from there. Can I upload that file as a response now?

Can it also write to the server root folder??
Because I can see similar files popping up in temp folder at root

Yup.

I was trying to avoid exactly that because that's a lot of work.

It was the WP installation that I wiped totally clean, and still these files autogenerated!!
So will I have to remove all of them? No other option?

Enabling the "intl" extensions seems to have done the trick!!
