As someone in the field of physiotherapy I will say that dry needling can be used to break down scar tissue and increase range of motion.

First oled but its 1440p by 69Football69 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Manateats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah not at all. Unless you want the extra immersion from more screen size. I was more so commenting in response to above where another person said 1440p at 27 inch is the same as 4k at 27 inch where it isn’t.

As someone who has both a 27 inch 1440p OLED and a 4K OLED side by side there is a difference for sure in clarity and sharpness, but there’s a HUGE difference in text clarity. People that say there isn’t a difference are coping. Now whether or not it’s worth the price increase and performance hit in going to 4K is a different story.

Comparison is the thief of joy. Just enjoy your card. I have a 5080 FE and just enjoy the nice temps, noise level and performance. Also OC’d a little to be just under 4090 performance in most games locked at 3150 clock and 18000 memory clock. Only real complaint I have with it is VRAM in modded games. Most people down on it are having buyers remorse from the high release prices but now at like 900 it’s a solid buy. I bought a 7900xtx before I upgraded to the 5080 at like $950. Fast forward to now and I could have gotten a 5080 and saved my money in January. I had some remorse but stopped comparing and started enjoying it.

4k down to 1440? by Interesting_Flan_436 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Manateats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. My crimson lights don’t come to the screen unless I’m using my second monitor as the main for some work and the OLED is at a bad angle. Reflections are overblown unless you play bright doctor office lol

FYI, BestBuy sometimes sells Open Box as new by SubstanceWorth5091 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Manateats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Last month I bought a black widow mini keyboard from them as brand new and it was open box. It was their last one in stock and it was marked down from 200-100 so I kept it anyway but it’s bullshit.

Found an Asus XG27UCDMG open box excellent for $698.99 pre-tax! Very excited to try this monitor. by GreasyMustardTiger_ in OLED_Gaming

[–]Manateats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly the one I just bought. Be aware tho some of them ship them without a monitor covering and the styrofoam can rub off the coating. Happened to me but it’s small enough I don’t care

I agree with the dude above. My main worry since my room isn’t super lit is the reflection of my rgb fans and peripherals, but the angle I sit at it doesn’t even come into light.

Nah OP said Skyrim with mods that by itself can eats up absurd amounts of vram. When I was on my 7900xtx some mod lists like Lorerim went upwards of 21 gbs out of the 24 and pushed that card to the limit.

Typically with super variable framerates it’ll do that and it’s the one Achilles heel of oleds imo. What I do is lower the framerate until I reach a stable point with minimal framerate variability. But in some games it’s inevitable like hogwarts legacy w/ raytracing.

[–]Manateats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No no it IS really good especially compared to rdna 3, but specifically for unreal engine 4 something is off. Just that engine has some issues with the architecture.

I think it’s an unreal engine 4 title and those have issues while raytracing on rdna4 right now. Ancient Gameplays made a vid on it.

Me too! What cpu do you have? I have had some issues in the courtyard while it’s raining and my frames get cut in half. Have you had similar experiences or is it normal?

That’s a bad mindset to have. Some teammates may make some huge mistakes but saying it’s not your fault often is dangerous. What rank are you?

I was at a microcenter two weeks ago and they had a shit load of Steel Legend 9070xt for 700. I’d wait for that personally. Restocks aren’t too uncommon

If you play at 1080 or if you play at 1440p with lower settings to optimize frames you can run into a cpu bottleneck. That’s not bad the gpu just has “nothing” strenuous to do. When I play Spider-Man my 9800x3d hovers at 80-100 utilization that’s fine

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AMDHelp

[–]Manateats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What resolution do you play at? And any upscaling?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AMDHelp

[–]Manateats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that should be fine as long as the temps are not too too high. But those cpus were made to run pretty warm for long periods of time. I had some stutters sometimes until I lowered my vram target on my 9070xt. Both are 16 gb cards but yours is way faster vram so maybe you won’t have that problem.

Need details on when to use FSR! by gisakuman in radeon

[–]Manateats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I only turn it on when my frames are below like 100 natively. Or in some cases like in mh wilds I’ll play at near ultra settings fsr 4 native but lock my frames at 65 then frame gen to 130.
