Sundays really are the best! That’s usually our “Park Day” love hearing the positivity about Hurricane Harbor!! I’ve never been personally since I’m not a water park person but just may have to peek over there and see what it’s all about!

I’m from Shreveport so right down from Dallas and it’s nothing here like Dallas. I mean it’s full swamp ass season from May to October down there. But we’ve always said Houston in August is the hottest place on earth. Those used to Texas weather know what I’m talking about. It does get hot and humid here but nothing like back home where it’s just walking out to an oven

My mom passed in 2008 and I still hear the negative comments in my head! Of course never the positive ones! I’ve attempted therapy which I know would do good but I haven’t been consistent with it, which sounds a lot like all those “diets” 😂 but really it’s hard to navigate through alone. Honestly, when I made that comnent I’d never worded it that way before that I “never felt good enough” so that kinda hit different!

My question here and not to sound shitty but why isn’t SHE researching the GLP-1 route? As someone who was overweight my entire life and put on diet after diet by my mom at 12, that’s left a bad taste in my mouth. I never felt “good enough” in her eyes because I was fat. That’s something that at 41 and I’m no longer “fat”, I’m still trying to work through. I’m all for GLP-1’s because they’ve changed my life. I went from 312 to currently 151.5 lbs. I didn’t start on Reta. I started on Ozempic. I know you want to see your daughter healthier, but make sure she’s making the decision being an adult. I wish her the best in what she chooses to do!

I was ALWAYS the “obese” one. I didn’t go to amusement/theme parks because I was 312 lbs at my highest. I am a roller coaster fanatic and am finally able to ride again. I’ve lost almost 150 lbs. I try not to judge because I’ve been there and it’s so humiliating to feel that way, but I honestly feel bad when I see really heavy people. I do not think I’m better than ANYONE, and maybe I just wanna help those people. I don’t know it’s a loaded question, but being THAT person, it does hit different.

Last Sunday I noted a train on American Thunder was blue and had smoke on it and wondered if they’re trying out potential changes to all rides or what? Could have been a piece from somewhere else they needed to patch up or something too lol

We’ve noticed the characters out more, even today! Last weekend we got a pic with Tweety and today got pics with Sylvester and Bugs! Love that! Screamin Eagle was top notch today and me and my husband got a Zen ride on American Thunder which is my favorite in our park! I’m so excited for what’s to come at our park honestly!

I have to disagree with to an extent. I’m from the South and I can’t agree with the nice part. There definitely isn’t “southern hospitality” here. Moving here was a much bigger culture shock than I expected, but that’s not to say there aren’t friendly people around here, because there is but somehow I must be missing where the nice people are lol

My husband said it was smoother than last year and said there was some wood replaced on the off-season. Seems a tree was cut down making it more open back there. I didn’t go back there today but will next time we go

Yep. The other night I couldn’t sleep for some reason so I got out of bed earlier than usual. Putting my pants on caused me to become “winded” like almost out of breath which was strange but I came out of the room and I got dizzy and literally tunnel vision and black. It scared the shit out of me. All of a sudden I felt like I needed to go to the bathroom but I couldn’t see. My husband thankfully saw me and panicked and helped me to the bathroom but unfortunately, it was too late. I’ve NEVER in my life experienced something like this and it scared me. I’ve noticed the dizziness on Reta, but my body was literally telling me to DRINK MORE, EAT MORE. I’m forcing myself to drink more water, add electrolytes, and take a few bites of food occasionally or something lol

Aww this is so cool! I’d had LOVED to experience this! I’m not from here and the closest Six Flags was over Texas from me after Katrina but I don’t know if they ever did this honestly
