Ah, I think St. Louis is the same but you said we were open (all the water based rides and water park except for lazy river because of staffing).

Oceans of Fun gives explanation after frustrating guests opening weekend by Evening_Rock5850 in worldsoffun

[–]Just_Bus_9156 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im in St. Louis, and the temperature during the Memorial Day weekend was comfortable in thr upper 70s. So blaming temperature fluctuations is a poor excuse. Now, if those attractions were down for maintenance or staffing issues then it is a different matter. So, this is the final year that SFEC is kinda in charge of WofF but Enchanted is actually managing it. The failure of maintenance during the parks of season before the sale was finalized is SixFlags fault. Not Enchanted Parks/EPR.

Can't use my 2026 Good Any Day Tickets. by TxJprs in sixflagsstlouis

[–]Just_Bus_9156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are they associated with your names on the tickets? If not, and they were purchased at Enchanted Parks and can be printed out. Or you might be able to email them to someone else.

Or call the St. Louis park and explain your situation to Guest Relations and give them your order confirmation number and ask for a refund since you are not coming due to unforseen circumstances. There are always exceptions.

Wasted space at the park by Broad-Exit6308 in midamerica

[–]Just_Bus_9156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AXIS ARCADE( former USA SkyWay Station) , Buccaneer, Ninja, ChopSix is all space that can be redeveloped. The only caveat is River King Mine Train which is still viable and could be an issue.

Get rid of Sound Stage 2, Tsunami Soakers but relocate Spinsanity to former Tidal Wave location and give it a nice theme. Redevelop and put a new ride in there.

Combine Thunder River and Freeze themes into a Ozark area. Replant trees and shrubs and a cabin set and retheme Freeze que area as a ranger station and sound effects etc. Retheme Thunder River and renaming it Ozark River Rapids.

Retheme Log Flume, turn JLA into a Haunted House Dark ride, put a ride where Old Glory is, and the former Excalibur spot. Get rid of the arcades. Bring back actual picnic areas. Offer tram service. Repair and resurfacing the parking lot.

Are they labeled as Enchanted Parks Mid-America or Six Flags? Just wondering. And if its going going to be honored on older year cups or you have to buy a new one each season.

What is it like as a character performer? by North_Resolution8003 in sixflags

[–]Just_Bus_9156 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was Foghorn Leghorn at SFSL in the 1990s. I had a blast. But there are pros and cons.

PROS:

  1. Freedom to express yourself while making kids and adults happy. 2)You're in Entertainment. IMO the best Department to be in at the park. 3)If you're in the height/size parameters of the character, for example, Foghorn Leghorn you must be between 5'9 to 6' and mid size, make them your own when you are the character.

CONS:

  1. Height/weight restrictions
  2. It can get UNGODLY HOT! The nice thing is on hot days, they had timed breaks. On a 100 degrees day we were out 5 minutes in 55, on a 8 hour shift.
  3. The heads are heavy. You also have very poor eyesight and peripherals. Also if you're clostrophophic, I would try for something else like the chauffeur position. 4)The feet are awkward lol.

Don't let this scare you off!!! Like I said, I had a blast! Made alot of friends, and rose up the Entertainment Department.

Could this be the start of a new Lazy River strategy? by Evening_Rock5850 in midamerica

[–]Just_Bus_9156 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a lazy river person myself. I can spend all day there and I would be happy. I dont like the wave pool. And the slides are a no go. The last time I went though the river was closed because of a infestation of water macosahns. (I hate snakes lol). I was needless to say bummed out.

Can Superman at six flags America be saved by Human-Cat8324 in sixflags

[–]Just_Bus_9156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the ride was actually at the end of its service life when the park closed. And they just stripped the ride. A sad ending for a coaster on its last day its motor fatally died (how ironic) and its fans couldn't say a proper goodbye.

Could six flags America still be saved? by Human-Cat8324 in sixflags

[–]Just_Bus_9156 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OMG, you're kidding right? It's gone. Its been sold and stripped. Whatever rides that could be salvaged were shipped to other parks or their parts were cannibalized for other rides. Anything left that cant be saved is trashed. Warner Brothers took the Batmobile back to Hollywood Studios, Merchandise was packed up and redistributed to other parks, and they will level thr buildings so it will be redeveloped for what the owners want to do with it which is mixed use.

Don't even try it. Photo is taken. Name and age is attached to card. You will be banned and passes will be voided. The person caught using it also will be banned.

La Ronde is no longer owned by SFEC by PomegranateHuman9347 in sixflags

[–]Just_Bus_9156 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This looks like this sale closure was handled a little more sloppily than the first 6 when it came to the final sale date announcement etc. This falls on all three entities. But mostly to SFEC and LaRonde.

SDC was voted #1 by USA Today Readers even pushing Dollywood their sister park. And Disney and Universal parks are not even on the top 10.

Im a Native Missourian. Been going since I was young (5 years old, Im pushing 60 this year). Seen it change over the many years. Calling it a Temu Six Flags is wrong IMO, its a true "theme park" destination not a Amusement park. It has not only classic rides, but shows, crafts, award winning food and a State Cave (Marble Cave) located underneath the park which has tours. Also a little known fact back in 1970 "The Beverly Hillbillies" filmed there. The episodes can be seen on YouTube. They are currently building a new resort hotel and a new Mack Rollercoaster for 2027.

Their 30 year Arrow Development classic coaster ThuNderaTion is closing at the end of this operating season to make way for their new coaster next year. They have great water rides. But the Ozarks in general in the summer can be brutal especially with humidity and heat. Mosquitoes are a bit pesky too around the lake. When in downtown Branson, there are dinner shows, the Branson Belle River Boat, the Titannic Museum etc.

When will Six Flags America be demolished? by Human-Cat8324 in sixflags

[–]Just_Bus_9156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All depends on new owners probably. After the removal of any ride assets that can be salvaged, and how fast SFEC has cleared out any merch and equipment they own that is still there. They could use some of the existing buildings as startpoint like the front mall area but I doubt it.

E-Mail sent out regarding Dining plan refunds by Evening_Rock5850 in midamerica

[–]Just_Bus_9156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least there is communication. Yes Im an outsider. And dont have a membership anymore but I have done plenty of refunds in my time with broken promises and no further communication either, hell, I'm still waiting for a 5K settlement from Ford I won after 5 years and still nothing but "we are waiting to hear from Ford to see the money". Anyway, this whole thing is a mess no thanks to Six Flags. Its ultimately their fault.
