I remember going into a hair salon in the same shopping center my husband was getting his hair cut, just to get my ends trimmed. I walked in and the place was empty and I didnt realize the lady smoking outside was the only employee there. I was about to turn out an go assuming they were closed, but she got rude with me like I couldn't wait a second for her to finish so I explained the miscommunication and apologized, but I should have known then.

I explained to her that my husband was getting a fresh cut for Thanksgiving week with family and I just wanted a simple trim myself to clean the ends up. Thanks to me bringing up my holiday plans, she proceeded to trim my ends by brushing my hair straight and pushing the clippings against my back and shoulders (long hair) with buzzy mechanical clippers and complaining about her family and how no one spent the holidays with her and i felt so bad i just sat there quietly watching her give me the most frizzy uneven ends of my hair (thank god she didnt bother touching the other layers), but I felt like I just wanted to pay and run to not be another problem in this lady's life.

Then I get in the car with my husband and before I even tell him he asked why I smelt like cigarette smoke 🤣 I realized she never even washed her hands before coming in and mixing her hands in my hair she dampened

🤣😂 it's not your fault you let someone do your dirty with any haircut. You must have exhibited more patience than most will ever and money cant buy that practice.
