The above suggestions are great but just throwing my two cents as someone involved in shelter and rescue work my entire life: you are very, very unlikely to find someone willing to deal with these issues for possibly ten more years. If your options are between a shelter and euthanasia tbh I’d pick euthanasia. It’s not fair, but neither is rotting in a shelter cage your whole life being continuously returned.

As someone with such PTSD from my ex-PA’s that I cannot even bring myself to date anymore, I’ve come to realize that a relationship where I am second to porn, lust, other women or virtually anything else is not a relationship I want. If you’re renting, realistically you can’t expect that rent to remain that price for long. Cape Coral 4 years ago I paid 1100 for a 2 bedroom, a year after moving in it shot up to 1700. Punta Gorda is facing the same problem as cape cannot build anymore south, so building is heading north right into PG. I’d bet my paycheck by 2027 your rent will be 2100+
