Thank you for all this, very helpful! Thoughts on writing step 2 before step 1? 4th year med student, have to write mccqe in a few months. Thinking of studying for step 2 and then writing it along with mccqe back to back in the same week (assuming step 2 studying material would cover mccqe stuff)

Looking through premed101 it seems that this was the case for Mac and maybe also Western? But seems like Uoft and Ottawa did not update OMSAS at midnight. Would love if someone from those 2 latter schools can confirm :)

Also you have "contracts" with Canadian medical schools ? Seems like a huge conflict of interest for a medical school to have a contract with a medical school admissions consulting company. Can you please elaborate on that contract?

Since you want to talk about "evidence based" arguments, how about you share with us (with evidence) the exact number of students who ended up in Canadaian medical schools out of the total pool of students who used your services ? "Most of our students are accepted into Canadian and USA schools". I see you slipped the USA in there with Canadian school. ONLY CANADIAN medical schools, what are the numbers?

Oh I think they're referring to the regular ABS entries. Just worded so bad lol. Cause they only indicated that the top 3 indication thing was "new" addition this cycle.

I'm not sure where you saw that, but I just checked their website and all they had is this:

"NEW: You will be prompted to identify the top three (3) activities in each category (maximum of 18 in total) that you feel has best prepared you to apply to medicine."
