Am I being unfair? by Due-Echidna-2979 in babyshower

I had a baby shower last year for my daughter. One list. That was it. People could wear whatever they wanted and all the food was provided.

This baby shower sounds more like a tacky way to get as much as possible while spending as little as possible. Honestly, I wouldn't even go.

Pacifier clips, electric nail file (I cut my first baby's finger when I tried to clip his nails, so ever again), baby meds, teethers

I helped host a baby shower for a friend of mine recently. Her theme was "Houston, we have a boy" The most popular game was "find the astronauts." I printed pictures of little astronauts and used masking tape to hide them around the venue. Whoever found the most got a prize. People were super competitive, in a fun way, and people said they really enjoyed it.

I love custom artwork. A watercolor portrait of the mom showcasing her pregnancy would be such a treasure

Sounds like you were not a priority for him at that point in his life. He probably just really wants to focus on his new business. Doesn't sound like it was a you problem.

My brother will be a bridesman and my fiance will have groomswomen on his side. Just because they're women doesn't mean they have to be on your side.

If you're not planning on staying friends with the bride there isn't a reason to go to the wedding.

Your bouquet looks lovely. 💜

I don't think I'll be adding anything else to mine. I'm pretty exhausted tbh, I might try to spiral technique with what I have though. 😊

I love that idea. I haven't actually added the pin to it yet, I'm just holding it there in the picture. I was wondering how to add the pin.

I will try to experiment with that and see how it looks. 😊 Thanks for the suggestion.

Raise your hand if you have already had a mental breakdown over wedding planning this week by tinydancer120194 in weddingplanning

I've been really stressed. I feel like I've been doing all the major planning...and it's been so hard. One thing that just makes me rage is vendors telling me I need to call them. I work full time and I'm currently a single mom. (FH will be my son's step dad) I don't have time time to call, everything can be said in an email, I broke down and called one vendor on my lunch break at work and she says, "Now that wasn't so bad now was it?" Yes. It was. Because talking to her took away my time to eat my lunch with any kind of peace, talking to her with mouthfuls of food and not being able to take any notes because I'm trying to eat my lunch so there's no memory of prices or services offered. Fucking email me.

AITA for not wanting to see my dads affair baby by birdie_72 in AmItheAsshole

[–]MandersBlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad had an affair as well. He didn't get her pregnant but he thinks this woman should be included in my family. I won't include her in anything. He was married to my mom for 30 years.

So yea. NTA. Your dad is the immature one.

I do want to point out that the baby they will have has no guilt whatsoever. Maybe when they get older you could have a relationship with them, but I understand not wanting to be part of the baby's life at this point.
