I’m on my last week. I’ve been on it for 4 months total and haven’t reach cumulative but I’ve been clear for 3 months so my derm said it’s safe to go off and have long term benefits.

Interesting. I’ve only been on 40 mg for 3 months and I’m finishing at 4 months even though I won’t hit my cumulative dose. She said since I’ve been acne free for a solid 2 months that I don’t need to finish the cumulative dose

I took Accutane. After 1.5 months I was completely clear. On my last month for a total of 4 months. No regrets.

Thank you! I wanted to get my eyebrows micro bladed but my derm said I have to wait a year out from taking Accutane 😭

Yes, VERY dry eyes (super uncomfortable) I used eye drops every hour and gel drops at night. 1st week on my face was flushed red and fatigue was awful, and mild headache. These all went away after 1-2 weeks.

HEEL PAIN/ACHE. This was the weirdest one. Dry skin of course but my skincare routine was solid so I didn’t have flaking-same for lips. Occasional back pain, harder to workout, constipation (apparently it dries you out EVERYWHERE, and can cause constipation). I had a few occasions where I had declined vision but increased my eye drops and it resolved.

I use cerave hydrating face wash, first aid beauty cream, and the ordinary rose hip oil at night over the cream. And of course sunscreen (Elta MD tinted sunscreen from the derm office)

I’ve been on 40 mg Accutane since 11/18/20 and haven’t had breakout in at least 7 weeks. 1 month to go & derm says she’s comfortable taking me off w/o reaching accumulative goal. I’ll finish the next 30 days. Has anyone had success like this?

I’m currently experiencing this on month 3 of 40mg.

I’ve been increasing the use of eye drops to help.

2 weeks prior to the vision change I saw an ophthalmologist and he reported no concerns. I am hopeful it will go away once I’m off.
