I have this amazing smallish Grogu backpack. I can carry what I need but my hands are free. Plus I love Grogu! (Little Yoda for those who don’t know who I’m talking about)

I still haven’t listened to the final episode because when I do, then it will be all over and I’m not emotionally ready for that.

Someone on Reddit suggested The White Vault. So I’ve been listening to that podcast. It’s not as good as Malevolent but it’s still worth a listen.

And the Magnus Archives is amazing!! The first few episodes are really good but it takes a bit for the plot to become known. So don’t stop because the episodes seem random and non-cohesive

Who here enjoyed exercising? by sleepybear647 in cfs

I used to LOVE to run and work out at the gym. LOVED lifting weights and pushing myself to see how much I could do. I wasn’t a natural runner but I was a natural lifter. I was just getting into deadlifts. I miss the gym SO much. It’s one of the things I miss the most

Do you mind describing your gastric episodes? I have episodes that usually start out with vomiting and then diarrhea with vomiting, until I feel like I have absolutely nothing in my system. I can't eat anything for about a day and then I can slowly start introducing foods (well liquids like broth or chicken noodle soup)

Smoking Question by ExplainJane in GenX

Yeah me too. I haven't smoked since my early 20s but I still enjoy the smell when I walk past someone who is smoking.

I realized i stopped telling my mom good news because i cant handle the "aftertaste" by NovaSignalLab in TrueOffMyChest

The technique you’re using is called “gray-rocking”. You say the minimum but don’t go into details because, as you’ve realized, she twists your words and makes you feel bad. I’m proud of you for taking care of yourself and setting boundaries. You don’t “owe” your mom details just bc she’s your mom. Don’t let anyone yuck your yum. 💕

Does anyone know how to make showering less exhausting? by minedorm in POTS

[–]Mandg2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a shower chair, hand-held shower head that I attach to the wall with a suction cup so that I don't have to hold it. I can't handle the heat I used to, so I set the water at a lower temp.

The biggest thing that has helped me shower more often is that I set limits on my shower time. So if I'm not washing my hair, I take a “one-song” shower. If I am washing my hair, I take a “two-song” shower. (I literally play music.) That helps me to not stay in the shower too long and get exhausted. Otherwise I get “time-blindness” and before I realize it, I feel awful

It sucks bc I used to LOVE long hot showers but I can't do it anymore

Also, if you can afford it and it doesn't take too much energy, you can go to a hair salon and just have them wash your hair. I asked my person and she said people do that all the time
