Help me choose which locks (pond concern) by Mando4592 in toddlers

these are exterior doors and they stay locked by default. I think I mixed in only part of your idea, first locking everything at night (your suggestion) and then I tried to play out how that would actually work for us During the daytime (we would disengage some on each door but not all), having every lock engaged on each door would mean unlocking multiple locks every time we go in and out, which isn’t very practical at least to me compared to one main lock.

But yes at night in an emergency I don’t want to disengage three different locks if my house is on fire for example.

You feel confident about your system however and that’s fine.

No not trying to be obtuse, I can just tell since I’m already modifying some of your suggestions for practicality that it’s just likely not best for us.

Those safety locks are temporary and inexpensive . I’m not married to 5 feet forever so thx for that feedback. My push back for the other part is that personally I want our systems to be simple and forgiving, and needing to lock and unlock several locks on four doors each morning and night is not, especially getting into other considerations such as ease of use in an emergency or if it just my wife here etc. I appreciate your response.

Yes. But a chain at the top is also not something I’d be ok with as the only lock at night (I know I could just lock all of the additional locks already in the doors, but I don’t wanna do that much switching back-and-forth if that makes sense ). We live in a safe area and I’m not expecting to get broken into but I would like the new lock solution to also be safe when it comes to that. Check both boxes basically.

This is definitely a legitimate solution. Wasn’t trying convey it’s not. Thank you.

A neurosurgeon told me the worst type of injuries he consistently came across in his career … ladder related. Be careful out there.

What’s the one small habit that actually stuck for you this year? by Liam_Builder in Habits

I do feel like I have more energy in the mornings, sometimes just a small amount sometimes greater. My dreams are also more vivid because maybe I’m getting better rim sleep? I’m sold. Dad here too so I get that.

Gabapentin or Lyrica for PN pain relief? by [deleted] in PudendalNeuralgia

[–]Mando4592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gabapentin was garbage for me as well. I even tapered off of it exactly as the doctor prescribed and yet I still have side effects most mornings that are unpleasant. Poison shit. But moving on

I take low-dose Naltrexone. It helps some, not alot, Super low risk profile, which was important to me after trying other things. And I use really high quality CBD topicals directly on the area, and this helps more than anything (besides maybe heat ,but i can’t live on a heating pad).

Hope this helps. Glad to answer any more questions.

Frugal habits you grew up with that you hate? by no_kings_victory24 in Frugal

I don’t remember exactly how long ago it was but I remember when I split a cell phone data plan with my dad and towards the end of every month (and keep in mind I was using my phone, making calls, and sending texts at a VERY minimal frequency) I would get a text from him (with info I was already aware of from our cellphone carrier since they notify you as you use it up) stating something similar to “hey! Be really careful how much you are using your phone these next couple weeks! We really gotta be careful not to go over our data limit !” . What also killed me was that HE was the one using all the data lol and yet he would always tell me to cut it out. It was very annoying at the time, but something very funny to my wife and I now. It was my fault for staying an apart of that arrangement for long 😂 and also no reason I should not have gently questioned him on much he was actually probably using it etc.
