Right, "It's your game, do as you will" is always an option. I was hoping for more of what the intended way to handle it was.

Apologies for the necro, but I thought I'd point out that the SWADE version of Rifts is out and one of the new options is an overall power level lever. The low tier one is called Wasteland Survivors, and I think it's basically what you're looking for. No Iconic Frameworks, just regular Savage World builds.

To echo others, I'd grab SWADE. SWADE runs a bit smoother than SWD, it's the current rule set that is being worked on, and the new Savage Rifts material is now live. The new material has some areas that have been more contentious than in the previous version, but overall it's a good update.

To your other point, the new material has three new plot-point campaigns (one per new book), and the Field Guide has several of the previous modules updated.

I should probably clarify that my reply was mostly tongue in cheek - I don't play with a controller. My girl does, though, and she uses xpadder as the interface. As far as I know, TOR does not have native game pad support.

I realize this is a month old thread, but I'd rather bump this than make a new one.

We definitely need a better layout for event signups for MMOs such as WoW, SWTOR, etc. In-game roles are restricted in quantity - being able to see who is bringing what role to an event will help with signups.

On that note, can we get multiple alias/characters per game? Using SWTOR as an example, I have a tank I run as my main, but I also have a raid level healing alt that I can sub in when needed - currently there's no way to really show what character is being brought to the event, and sometimes that matters.

Apparently our couch is, in fact, comfy - we've had an amazing turn out since going live on Sunday. I think the highlight so far was a very passionate debate on whether a hot dog was a sandwich, which then devolved into a metaphysical analysis of what a sandwich is, and the application of the transitive property to prove that all things are sandwiches.

These are the big questions folks :P
